Floridians T2 are the winners of the 4th Raburn Series Premier League! Us 8 Floridians were pretty good but not good compared to teams like Peaceful Fire and Yeet Fleet so we didn't have such high hopes. But later lots of drama happened, lets first see how I came to make the team. (Note Me and Roger436 collaborated on this together, I did the Regular Season and Roger is doing the rest, his blog is here https://www.chess.com/blog/Roger436/champions-of-raburn-premier-series-league-iv-floridians-t2-part-2)

How I Made The Team

I had actually been recruited to Yeet Fleet for Raburn Series Premier League but then they had a big falling out and I decided to make my own team! I was actually deciding which league to play in and this is how I came to the conclusion of Raburn Series Premier League.

NSPBCL? No, the season has already started

NSPCL? No, they are sitting ducks when it comes to starting a season

NSPBuCL? No because well, 1. it hadn't started yet

and 2, My bros from FL are not great at bullet (Although I do have a team in NSPBuCL)

hmmmmmmmmmmm

HOW ABOUT Raburn Series Premier League!!!!!!!!

yes a huge brain idea a nice league with strong spreadsheets

That spreadsheet is actually crazy though

Yay we made a pretty stacked team if I say so myself

Floridians T2

Captain:  @sneezingdino

AVG Rating: 2098.43

Board 1:   @LilRag 2474
Board 2:   @Nicolas_DeLaColina 2478
Board 3:   @FizzyBand 2382
Board 4:   @sneezingdino 2256
Board 5:   @Roger436 1848
Board 6:   @orlandokid2009 1664
Board 7:   @tsrif1 1541
Board 8:   @antisunechess 1189

I made 2 other teams but they all did pretty bad because of forfeits

So lets take a look at the season.

 (note: Raburn writes matchweek as mathweek)

Mathweek 1: Floridians T2 vs. Bongbongobongclouders

Floridians T2 51.5 Board 16.5 Bongybongobongclouders
@LilRag (W) 6 1 6 (B)  @tictactoeprodigy
@Nicolas_DeLaColina (B) 5.5 (ad) 2 5.5 (ad) (W)  @nobleelevator
@FizzyBand (W) 10 (f) 3 0 (f) (B)  @lonelybishop
@sneezingdino (B) 9 (f) 4 0 (f) (W)  @vinumon555
@Roger436 (B) 8 5 0 (W)  @2nf31-0
@orlandokid2009 (W) 7 6 0 (B)  @goldenwriter
@tsrif1 (B) 6 7 0 (W)  @brudo_the_chess_king
@antisunechess (W) 0 (f) 8 5 (f) (B)  @minecraftprogamer-1

The BongyBongoBongClouders weren't the best team I would say, they were basically a bunch of memers who wanted to troll people. Although this looked like we would have an easy sweep, turns out, our board 1 was almost losing against their bd 1!!!!!!!! (but then they got a draw)

It should have been 56.5-11.5 though since minecraftprogamer-1 was a sandbagger.

Here is the scuffle between the Bd 1s.

This is engine analysis since I was bored and didn't want to actually analyze.

ALSO, BIG NEWS BIG NEWS, YEET FLEET DROPS OUT surprise.png

Mathweek 2: Floridians T2 vs. Plainfield East Bengals

Floridians T2 58 Board 10 Plainfield East Bengals
@LilRag (W) 6 (fd) 1 6 (fd) (B)  @Ahjistar
@Nicolas_DeLaColina (B) 11 2 0 (W)  @Nathan42597
@FizzyBand (W) 10 (f) 3 0 (f) (B)  @LegendaryEli
@sneezingdino(B) 9 (f) 4 0 (f) (W)  @ammaarz
@Roger436 (B) 4 (ad) 5 4 (ad) (W)  @R2002
@orlandokid2009 (W) 7 6 0 (B)  @Blackhawk0305
@tsrif1 (B) 6 7 0 (W)  @No0bMaN69
@antisunechess (W) 5 (f) 8 0 (f) (B)  @DylonLE

Another near-sweep! We basically won on all boards, there were a few forfeit draws since some people couldn't find a time.

A nice 4 rooks!

Mathweek 3: Floridians T2 vs. Chess Family

10 Chess Family 30 Board 38 2 Floridians T2
@EnergeticHay (W) 0 (f) 1 12 (f) (B)  @LilRag
@Chessdemon2019 (B) 11(f) 2 0 (f) (W)  @Nicolas_DeLaColina
@SchlappyC (W) 0 3 10 (B)  @FizzyBand
@uwillresignyesuwill (B) 0 4 9 (W)  @sneezingdino
@H_Sadah (B) 8 5 0 (W)  @Roger436
@vishnu_vijay_93 (W) 0 6 7 (B)  @orlandokid2009
@ChessLebaneseSalah (B) 6 7 0 (W)  @tsrif1
@BoraBoy (W) 5 (f) 8 0 (f) (B)  @antisunechess

This was kinda hard but not really. Chess Family has been known for having lots of teams that were stacked but never did too well, so we figured that would happen again. We won by 8 points, with the dominate of board 3, 4, and 6, we were able to come out on top with a 3-0-0 record. We actually were scared at the start but then we saw that energetichay never negotiates so then we got a little relaxed.

Heres a beautiful game by orlandokid2009 scoring an upset against his opponent.

So yay!!!

Mathweek 4: Floridians T2 vs. Chess.com Comets C

Chess.com Comets C 13.5 Board 54.5 Floridians T2
@aa175 (W) 0 1 12 (B)  @LilRag
@chesspilot01 (B) 0 (f) 2 11 (f) (W)  @Nicolas_DeLaColina
@Rustyhelmet (W) 0 3 10 (B)  @FizzyBand
@ChristOurSavior (B) 0 4 9 (W)  @sneezingdino
@AmritRaunak24 (B) 8 5 0 (W)  @Roger436
@MathSam57 (W) 0 6 7 (B)  @orlandokid2009
@willluo (B) 0 (f) 7 6 (f) (W)  @tsrif1
@GoPikachu (W) 5 8 0 (B)  @antisunechess

Not even a chance! The Floridians kicked the Comets out of orbit with 54.5 points! With the domination of Board 3, 4, and 6, we absolutely dominated. Throughout the season, board 6 @orlandokid2009 was OP making huge upsets against his opponents. @LilRag beat a FM in less than 20 moves! Let's see how Raghav finished him for lunch.

We mopped him up! BUT WAIT. BIG NEWS BRR BRR BRR BRR PEACEFUL FIRE DROPS OUT, at first I didn't know why, but then I later asked Bread man and he states, "A Barrington player offered a time to play at. A Peaceful Fire player replied that that sounded good. Later, said Peaceful Fire player missed the time offered. Peaceful Fire claimed that a time was never agreed. Chaos ensued. Eventually, the admins ruled that this was a forfeit, and there was a time agreed on acknowledgment to which Peaceful Fire disagreed with, thereby leaving the league entirely in disappointment, Barrington and Peaceful Fire players exchanging blows." So that was good for us!

Mathweek 5: Floridians T2 vs. NNHS Huskies

Floridians T2 51 Board 17 NNHS Huskies
@LilRag (W) 6 1 6 (B)  @nsiv333
@Nicolas_DeLaColina (B) 0 (f) 2 11 (f) (W)  @thedoge42
@FizzyBand (W) 10 3 0 (B)  @Poke_A_Man2558
@sneezingdino (B) 9 4 0 (W)  @strangerthingz
@Roger436 (B) 8 5 0 (W)  @aaaaanwar81
@orlandokid2009 (W) 7 6 0 (B)  @jlamslam
@tsrif1 (B) 6 7 0 (W)  @BillZheng
@antisunechess (W) 5 8 0 (B)  @sniper2146

Board 3-8, pure domination. We Nearly Sweeped the Huskies! At this rate, we were one of the strongest teams with a 5-0-0 record. The only other team that had the same score was the Roaring lion who we faced in week 8.

  Mathweek 6: Floridians T2 vs. Chess.com Comets A

9 Chess.com Comets A 27.5 Board 40.5 Floridians T2
@chesssky2 (W) 6 (ad) 1 6 (ad) (B) @LilRag
@JosTim (B) 5.5 2 5.5 (W) @Nicolas_DeLaColina
@championps (W) 10 3 0 (B) @FizzyBand
@th3d4rkness (B) 0 4 9 (f) (W) @1e31-O
@houchess16 (B) 0 5 8 (f) (W) @Roger436
@MakeHell_Tal (W) 0 6 7 (B) @orlandokid2009
@Night0Sky (B) 6 7 0 (W) @tsrif1
@GMArsenalAritro (W) 0 8 5 (f) (B) @antisunechess

We knocked them out of orbit just like their brothers! This was a little bit harder since our bd 3 lost a sad game. The Comets were stacked and it looked bad for us, but wait! There are some forfeits! YAY! We only won because of forfeits.

Mathweek 7: Floridians T2 vs. stonks

Floridians T2 36 Board 32 stonks
@LilRag (W) 0 1 12 (B) @DryCounty
@Nicolas_DeLaColina (B) 5.5 2 5.5 (W) @Everyfishknows
@FizzyBand (W) 10 3 0 (B) @Lukemaster101
@1e31-O (B) 4.5 4 4.5 (W) @GaryLeschinsky
@Roger436 (B) 8 5 0 (W) @TheCosmicWave
@orlandokid2009 (W) 0 6 7 (B) @IvarCode
@tsrif1 (B) 3 7 3 (W) @adangerousCantaloupe
@antisunechess (W) 5 8 0 (B) @shaynyg80

Wow! We actually beat them! We were both lucky and unlucky. You see, Orlandokid flagged in a +3 position! :..( So our chances were not high. BUT WAIT, We got luck too! Antisunechess beats a 1700! Yay! We had a huge day on Sunday where Roger got LUCKYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.

(NOTE: I didn't want to analyze this because it was too painful to look at)

Mathweek 8: Floridians T2 vs. ROARing Lions

4 ROARing Lions 11 Board 57 1 Floridians T2
@TheUnderDog001 (W) 0 1 12 (B) @LilRag
@music_from_rhymes (B) 0 2 11 (W) @Nicolas_DeLaColina
@K-AgarwalMMII (W) 0 3 10 (B) @FizzyBand
@LonelySabishii (B) 0 4 9 (W) @sneezingdino
@bishop_to_e4 (B) 8 5 0 (W) @Roger436
@typewriter44 (W) 0 6 7 (B) @orlandokid2009
@Mi_Amigo (B) 3 7 3 (W) @tsrif1
@AlbAmChess (W) 0 8 5 (B) @antisunechess

This team was actually pretty strong but they were no match for Florida! We beat them just like we beat their brothers, the huskies, with a score of 57-11!!!!!!!!!!!! We had a big fight also so that was fun. Watch how orlandokid2009 showed type how it's really done. (also orlandokid had like 1 bar of wifi btw)

Final Mathweek: Floridians T2 vs. Fremd Vikings

3 Fremd Vikings 37.5 Board 30.5 1 Floridians T2
@WanderingPuppet (W) 6 1 6 (B) @LilRag
@Aditya404 (B) 11 2 0 (W) @Nicolas_DeLaColina
@Schachmasteo (W) 10 3 0 (B) @FizzyBand
@blind_man1 (B) 0 4 9 (W) @sneezingdino
@aggara1 (B) 8 5 0 (W) @Roger436
@koolperry (W) 0 6 7 (B) @orlandokid2009
@ShaoniHiya (B) 0 7 6 (W) @tsrif1
@awalker9255 (W) 2.5 8 2.5 (B) @antisunechess

A super sad (but planned >: D) loss. it started off great, we won on boards 4 and 6. Then the next day, we started with a bd 7 win, and bd 3 was winning, but then... he got swindled sad.png

So that was sad, but we saw that LilRag drew and antisune also drew and if Nicolas or Roger would draw, then we would win. Oh boy, they both lost.

That was bad, and Roger didn't do much better.

sad.png

After this week, I convinced my team that this was a good loss, if we had won we would have had to play stonks again and Fremd has an easier route to Superboat, so I guess that was fine.

At the end, the Floridians were able to win the Superboat (not) convincingly.

Big shoutout to everyone who was on the FL teams!

And here is what I got grin.png

I was the best board 4 so I got this grin.png
we won!
