A Weekly Jumbo is a Blog I will run each week that includes: 2 instructive games of mine and 1 viewer game that I will analyze in a Youtube Video on my Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCp1tR2sBzi2L8_tbpl6QCOw Along with the video and games, I will also include 2 puzzles and 1 game from a notable tournament each week such as Tata Steel this week. So let's start! My Games Of The Week! Recently, my games per week has been going down, it went from around 100 games a week to like 20-30 games a week due to school. Because of this, I haven't been able to get many good games each week. So recently this week, I decided I was going to play a lot of 10 minute games to try to get the most instructive games. After each game I will give the key takeaways from each game. GAME #1: F1-dddd vs sneezingdino 0-1 QUESTION: What does White play in response to 9...e4? (don't scroll) ANSWER: So the game continued in a normal fashion of the Kings Indian Defense QUESTION: Is the Move R6f7 or f3? (don't scroll) ANSWER: The main reason that R6f7 was not as good was that f3 stopping white's pawn from advancing starts giving hope for white. QUESTION: How does white punish my poor judgment? (don't scroll) ANSWER: The game ended shortly after Key Takeaways 1. Do not prepare a move if you can already play the move, eg. Rb1 2. Do not get greedy GAME #2: Yogesh028 vs sneezingdino 1-0 QUESTION: Is the Move b5 or b6? (don't scroll) ANSWER: The game continued quite normally until move 22 QUESTION: What does black have to take the advantage? (don't scroll) ANSWER: Things kept going well for me, but the time wasn't. The game continued, with many blunders QUESTION: Which move is the best, Qg5+, Rd7+ or Qd4+? (don't scroll) ANSWER: Unfortunately I could not find the tactic, I did find a loss though That definitely was an unfortunate game but it had many great factors to it, a good game, with good tactics but bad time management. Key Takeaways 1. Manage your Time well 2. Do not go for draws when you are winning, things can go south quickly Notable Game of the Week! There were many options for this category, Tata Steel was played this week! Here were my top 4 options: Firouzja vs Harikrishna Espienko vs Carlsen Wojtaszek vs Caruana Vachier-Lagrave vs Donchenko I would have loved to do Espienko vs Carlsen, but it has been analyzed by Dejan Bojkov already so I doubt I could do much compared to him. The Wojtaszek vs Caruana was also annotated by him so it only gave me 2 options, Firouzja vs Harikrishna and Vachier-Lagrave vs Donchenko. I personally preferred Firouzja vs Harikrishna so that is the Game we will analyze! TACTICS! Us 8 Floridians were pretty good but not good compared to teams like Peaceful Fire and Yeet Fleet so we didn't have such high hopes. But later lots of drama happened, lets first see how I came to make the team. I was actually deciding which league to play in and this is how I came to the conclusion of Raburn Series Premier League. NSPBCL? No, the season has already started NSPCL? No, they are sitting ducks when it comes to starting a season NSPBuCL? After this week, I convinced my team that this was a good loss, if we had won we would have had to play stonks again and Fremd has an easier route to Superboat, so I guess that was fine. So like maybe 3-4 weeks ago, I played in this tournament called the PNWCC Thanksgiving Open which I did horribly in, blundering a winning position against a GM and tilting in the tourney.That was a big YAY! So that was fun lol. Now lets get into the real deal, the US Championship Online Qualifier! I played the 2001-2400 section where I did pretty well but had to leave a bit early due to homework. ROUND 1 A huge brain game against my opponent who was pretty good.
