how do they find out who you are on chess.com to give the otb rating?

@Arenacrusher07024, did you win an OTB tournament rated by US Chess Federation?
If so, join the "US Chess Federation - Members Only" club on chess dot com and they have a process to link your chess dot com acct with your US Chess Federation membership. You can ask rating specific questions over there.
