Ok, I didn't know that, but do you think that sort of thing might go on.  I mean who would know. I would say that its a good probability that it doe's go on especially if mean's winning an important match.

I personally don't want to cheat and I honestly didn't realise that I was until you just pointed that out to me, fair enough I understand that now. But do you honestly think that every player and group would share those views.

It is definitely is open to debate.

Paul - yes it goes on. Yet chess.com do look at matches especially if your stats starts going beyond the 2000 mark and look to see if you used programs like chessmaster to influence your game. chess.com will name and shame you and ban you as they frown upon cheaters. If you search the forums you will see that they have banned 1000's for this very offence.
Try your best to win your game without cheating. After you have finished your game and want to improve ANALISE that game. The computer will let you know your good as well as your bad moves. In the case of the bad moves it gives you the right move that you should have played.
Good luck on improving under your own influence!!!

Thankyou, it is annoying when you make that move then realise and its too late. I think its a good idea sometime's to familiarise yourself with a game when you haven't played for a couple of days. Maybe make a note on a certain game.

I should do that really instead of losing the plot, still nevermind we live and learn.

goodluck with your match.

Thankyou Paul.

What I have found useful before making the next move in any game is to look at all the moves that have been played so far just to give you an idea of the strategy that you used, especially if you have other games on the go!!! Going from one game to another can lead you to thinking 'boy, did I make the right move just now' amd that could lead you to make a mistake on your next game.

Don't forget time is not a factor!!!

Hi Alun,

When you said about analysing the board on a particular game I only just realised that I could do that which has really helped my game. I thought you had to be an upgraded member to do that. I can move in front of the game to look at different variations and outcome's and predict my opposing player's move's.

Thanks for that.

I just got my best win.

I would personally never ask anyone to help me in any game, because no matter how you word it, it's cheating.....also, I would invite anyone with an invisible helper, chessmaster or otherwise, to actively give siggestions to anyone playing me cos they're gonna NEED it!! Heh he....
