I would also love to change my name on the app. The app is quite new, so I'm hoping for some updates. It's very easy to blunder in these games. I have won games where I blundered my queen.
Yes the scrambled names at the moment aren't ideal! Proper names and challenging players by username will come.

There are some very strong players at the top; I've scraped a win against them a few times, but it's rare indeed.

That's nice to know. I'm sure my game against her did not give her skill justice and she'll get back to 2200+ rating soon. She got her knight trapped in the center early against me and things went quickly downhill from there. I hope to play her again sometime and then maybe she won't underestimate me.
The #1 rated Matthew Sadler I have not gotten a chance to play with. I hope to get to play him sometime. The #3 rated Vzskv247, I have a few games against and when I last played him (2 months ago?) I can confidently say he was a better player than me.
I'm kinda getting scared to play faster time controls, since I'm much better in correspondence. Any chance that we'll get separate ratings for different time controls in the future?
I agree, I can feel a marked skill difference between many players and myself!! Still fun to play them though and see how long you can survive.
Faster time controls are definitely a different experience, especially the 5 minutes! Good suggestion, I've made a note to consider it for a future update
