Reason: We have tested your variant and concluded that despite it seemingly having no strategy, there is quite some strategy and waiting is not really viable throughout the game if you set up pieces in a right way. One has quite a lot of opportunities to maximize their winning chances.

Put it as a NCV initially, I meant it as a WoF instead. Some notes, I find the dabbabas to be important to take, spreading your pieces out is good for atomic, overall you need good vision and trading with the opposing player may not always be wise.

I think the fog is a bad idea

IDK if Fog of War is a good idea, but the maze is nice

however fatal capture is odd

Avatar of Trento007

Fog is to simulate the two board state in battleships, you don't see where the enemy pieces are until it is given a confirmation upon your guess. In this case you do see them but to not take them when it would otherwise benefit you is like an error in guesswork on your part. To remove fog is to eliminate any of these errors from the game and make it so you just need enough time to make all the right decisions.

Fatal capture makes your pieces like a bomb, like the pegs in battleships, when you use it you don't get it back, it and the square it is on is used up and no longer a worry. In this case if you used it and failed you still have it, but it is functionally like having another guess. You only have so many guesses in this case, and you need to use them efficiently.

I will accept the revisions, thanks for them. Overall I feel the gameplay is still the same, however I was surprised at how quickly your allies pieces can disappear yet I still feel there is sufficient counterplay perhaps emphasizing trading with the enemy a bit more in these scenarios. The games are shorter in general, this is a plus, also the board seemed less open visually and requiring of more tactical thought.
