Note

The original idea of this game was to emulate Cavalier Chess on chess.com. However Cavalier Chess has promotion rules which simply are not available in the variant editor. It also has the weakness of the Nightrider being able to immediately exchange for a Xiangqi Horse. So now there are Wildebeest and Sergeant Pawns. The Nightrider also came back into the game with the Sergeant Pawns for it to hide behind in the starting position. There is also a non-royal General allowing for a Sergeant Pawn to promote to a General. Finally it is a Crazyhouse variant.

Status: Declined

Reason: Great revision, however, the pawns are quite strong and defeat the purpose of the original game which revolved around xiangqi knights. This forces players to defend if even a slight inaccuracy is made, giving the opponent a major attacking ability which makes the variant worse overall.
