Status: Declined
Reason: A trivially forced draw, no strategy whatsoever.
What it is game of points? It is supposed to be play for mate since it is 2p. The blue queens are supposed to be worth nothing
It is hypothetically possible for one player to take all the blue queens and win even if the other player checkmates or take all the pieces of the player, someone pls fix this thx in advance
Probably not just this post, maybe most of the other 2p submissions have this problem
Also promotion is irrelevant because there are no pawns
All the test games are under game of points, I don't know if this is some error or for better testing (extra information).
I like this, there is some strategy to choosing which pieces to attack with, and the basic knights are positioned well to use as a front to your attack.
pretty sure the name has been used before? It was a long time ago and declined, so maybe it's fine, idk
If it was declined then recycling (imo) is fine as long as effort was put into it and some time has passed. We can ask CGAs

IIRC the first iteration of crossing the river also had a similar concept with two ranks filled with queens? We would need to check the old megathread to find it though
Yeah just check for similarity or something

2p is not automatically play for mate; take Amazon Fight, for example. If you want it to be play for mate, you gotta make that a game rule, which means that you have to play at least 5 more games with this added rule and edit your post/or make a revised post
I liked fighting inside the river, and constantly bringing new pieces into it. After half the blue queens were gone, I mostly forgot about points. I exhausted my opponent's supply of pieces and started moving my pieces to his side until I checkmated him. The 5-check rule did not affect either of us, although I guess it could have if we had played differently.
I think a 4-player version of this would be great, because sufficiently defending your king in the early game seems quite hard in traditional 4-player, but this variant seems to inhibit aggressive early checkmating attacks on the king.
I did not read the old thread which has a length of a few thousand, and also i thought 2p is by default play for mate

2P is by default play-for-mate. Your position was tested in P4M/regular chess result rules, and it's the bot that's messing it up, not you.
Reminder to everyone to do their research before saying something here...
game of points is super annoying and i remember twice that i 5 checked my opponent but still lost because they took most of the blue queens. this is apparently a cgabot bug

This is the closest to the concept I could find, theoretically this exact concept is unique.
