Status: Declined

Reason: The gameplay hugely favors yellow and blue due to move orders. Promotion to duck makes the gameplay much staler and a lot of powerful pieces add up to a lot of teaming opportunities through all the game stages, walls even further help with this.

Yes

I see a major problem with this: yellow would probably be 2v1ed at some point in almost every game

Not exactly because red would attack more blue and green in the beginning.

Avatar of Chessisfunforme

that gives blue and green a lot of points

Avatar of Chessisfunforme

but ig there is a little bit of balance but why not just let red be a regular player

No it is whatever the creator chooses

It may surprise you that you do not actually get to decide what type of variant it is

The CGAs are actually allowed to change a variant’s type around (usually NCV to WoF), but that’s only for a Pending Reply case, and not for others to explicitly decide.
Otherwise, yes, please phrase variant type statements as a question (e.g “Shouldn’t this be a WoF?”) and give an actual reason why

Also a big problem with takeover with variants with more pieces is that the noobs tend to resign quickly so one player will end up having a big advantage
