General slide_checkmate -- What do you want to do? You're match against FIVE for FIGHTING is taking forever to get accepted. You can always withdraw that one and make an identical challenge availabe to all other groups. I would recommend that but it's up to you.

Your first battle seems to have been cancelled by Global Teens. It's annoying, I know, but it happens.

I didn't see how balanced it was but the reason could be that they just couldn't get the players. Go ahead and issue another challenge and hopefully the group who takes it up will be able to make up the numbers. Try to get in touch with the admin who accepts and come to some kind of agreement with them rather than letting them cancel the match.

I cancelled The Pandionis Tribe battle against THE FLASH because they were not being helpful with balancing the match. Their weakest players were higher rated than our strongest hoplites and locked their team rather than doing anything about my observation.

I'll issue anther battle challenge for The Pandionis Tribe shortly.

I think I'll give them a little more time. Allow me to drop a note to one of their admins, ask if he wants to accept.

After the little disagreement with THE FLASH, the raplacement battle challenge I've issued on behalf of The Pandionis Tribe is for players <1800. I think that's fair because it doesn't exclude the tribe's strongest player shetosgrand2000 while limiting the ability of other groups to try and stack the deck against us. Other settings are as per the current standard.

We should probably have a talk about tweaking the standard after everyone has completed their first battle.

That's true. There are no vote chess games at the moment. And it wont be Generals who organise vote chess. I'm working on it. New Athens is going to be quite a complex group so we need to take one step at a time. For the time being, I want to see how comfortable the Generals are with the process for issuing and following through on matches.

Are you very interested in vote chess? I shall have to remember that...
