Unfortunately, my tracked threads are SO MANY that I don't think I'll ever be able to dig it out from my list..

(sigh.. I want to 'untrack' them all but it seems impossible..)

Hi Strategic -- I've just sent you a msg describing how you might solve this tracking problem. Let me know whether it makes sense and works. It's pretty important you're able to track activity at the Military Magistrates' Court... being a military magistrate and all that. :-D

bigred74 -- Why did you create an extra match, announce it and then cancel it? It seems you're having trouble with whatever it is you're trying to do. Can I help?

bigred74 -- Oh. I see what you were trying to do. It was a tournament match. No, that's my department and I wont be able to get to that until after we've got several other things in place. Let's leave tournaments for the time being but don't worry. We will be getting to them eventually. :-)

General bigred74 -- I should probably clarify just so that everyone understands. Generals are responsible for battles (matches) and Archons are responsible for feasts/festivals (tournaments). At the moment we're still working on ironing out our procedure for handling battles so festivals will have to wait for now. I realise New Athens can seem a little complicated sometimes but I think we're getting there. :-)

General bigred74 -- Are you sure you want to lock your battle? It doesn't look too balanced to me. I'd recommend you unlock it and try to call some Hipparchs in. But it's up to you.

Ok. Well no harm done in this instance.

I think other groups' admins tend to lock each others' matches but the way we're doing it, we actually have specific Generals who are responsible for specific battles so you shouldn't really touch someone else's work. There will be exceptions to this in the future, which I will describe later, but for the time being, there aren't any.

If another team asks you to lock someone elses battle then just tell them to msg the general of the battle and to wait for a reply. I haven't been asked yet but that's what I plan to do.

thats what happen with me and the panda..they asked me to lock after they did so i sent a message to panda and he locked!

Ah ok. Yes, that's the correct way of doing it. Good work. :-)

Hi Magistrates -- If there are people you want to invite to join New Athens, please prefer to post their names to the News alert called "New Citizens" for me to invite and track. I want to avoid spamming the same person with multiple invites as well as using up more than one invite with someone who may not be interested. -- Thanks.

Thanks for withdrawing your second battle, bigred. We're still desperately trying to get a fair fight on the remaining challenges and I didn't think it would be fair to draw hoplites over to a brand new battle when we've got those to balance out still.

The second battles are coming soon. I'm glad to see you're eager for more. :-)
