Hi JD Cannon.

I've done a bit of homework in this area.

It's far from clear why "one side" uses Stockfish for Analysis (I think), but I think y'all bought 'most of' Komodo and maybe even Services from Larry Kaufman, so "the other side" has "play Komodo in graded levels" and see the recent Twitch Rivals event.

Ever heard of Rebel?

Ages ago, it was in there for a strong for-the-time program and I glanced at it last week and it now has some utilities and 'Rebel-Fish'. Apparently Stockfish bolted on top of the old Rebel engine.

At one point, Rebel had 'Anti GM Mode', where, instead of a 'Universal' level, it would play flashy nasty attacks with 'a Tal Flaw' but then the Decision Tree Explodes, so that yes, maybe Stockfish at top level can find it, but a "regular GM" faces 5 chances to lose every move for several moves on end, and the attacks get to run Faster-Than-Normal.

With the Rise of "let's not play Book", you/it turns the tables, plays EVIL moves up to Ply 23, kills your Premoves, and then if it gets a "lock" it premoves *itself*. "There was a Way Out but you Missed it"

Then instead of "81 move jockeying for tempos", we get scorching gsames where the only way out is an exchange sac and THEN TWO quiet moves happy.png

Bonus Tip.

Get Larry Kaufman and a Senior Coder and whoever to make a special Anti King's Indian Structure module just to Annoy Hikaru.
