There's Villagers Chess, the origin of it was exactly the idea of "nerfed chess", funny how it was supposed to be "more chill than chess" where it's literally a constant sharp tactical warfare

Well that plays really dull often, unless you add gamerules, tho can't really argue with a certified nerfer lol

how do i make something like a special chess board, like a 16x16 board, but with separations between the ranks and/or files?

i like nerf blasters

you can't make a 16x16 chess board

but anyway, the "segmented" chess boards use transparent bricks to remove squares that they don't want.

nerf is fun
