New member, returning to chess

Hi all,

I'm a returning player, haven't played for 30 years. I'm spending most of my time doing puzzles and lessons but looking for people who want to play some 1 or 3 day games if anyone is interested.

Also thinking about joining a Club, does anyone have a suggestion for a good club in Sheffield? (ideally south side - I live in South Anston).

Thanks, Dan

Thanks, do they accept new players? Not sure I'm ready to compete yet, just looking for people to play with and help me learn really

I'm regular at Woodseats, it's a very friendly club, with a thriving social chess scene (if you're not keen on playing competitive chess). More than welcome to drop in and check us out, we're at the Abbey from 7:30pm, Mondays.

Hi, I'm keen on nipping down to Woodseats as only live up the road. The problem is I'm not very good at chess but want to learn. Would it still be okay to try it out ?
Thanks
