I think is good, but why would anyone use norma from?
New Piece: Metamorph

fair enough, but I think maybe a slight rule change would be better. I mean being immune from an gel's effect is well, not so great

When it says immune to capture, that means that the king is still not immune to check, or something else?

Because everywhere "move" is used but the given examples also indicate capture.
At first though I thought it couldn't capture, but as I read more it seemed like it could.

It seems kinda OP ngl, but I don't play bulldog much. Only definite complaint is the piece sprite looks like a pawn with a large head xD

Essentially you invented three pieces, with an option to promote between these three at will.
Interesting way to think about it!

When it says immune to capture, that means that the king is still not immune to check, or something else?
An adjacent king to a defense form metamorph is not immune to checks. I’ll put that in.

I think white is still lost in that position, that witch is crushing.
Nc7 looks like it does the job, opens a discovery on the metamorph. White does have Wd2 to bring in another defender, but it's the queen, and obviously black is happy to trade his rook and bishop for the metamorph and queen.

Why? It should be. The king would be immune from checks if this were an angel.

I trust that is true, but not really the point

Wait why?
A King immune to capture should by pure logic alone be immune to check and mate.
The metamorph is a piece which has 3 forms: Attack, Defense, and Normal. They all have similar abilities but with slight variations.
Rules For All Forms:
1) The metamorph begins the game in its "Normal Form"
2) Changing forms is considered a move.
3) The notation for all forms are "M". If there is another piece in the game with the notation "M", "MM" can be used.
4) The notation for changing forms is M-[The form]. Examples: Normal to attack form would be: M-AttackForm. Defense to normal would be: M-NormalForm
5) Although it can change form whenever it wants, it can only go from Defense=> Normal => Attack or Attack=> Normal => Defense. In other words, it can't go from Attack directly to defense and vise versa.
6) A pawn can choose any of the three forms to be upon promotion.
Normal Form
I don't have a unique graphic for this piece, so I will just use that.
In its normal form, it moves and captures exactly the same as a guard.
All adjacent squares are transparent to friendly pieces, but not the metamorph itself.
Attack Form
Note that it is now holding a sword to indicate attack form.
Red squares indicate where it can move.
Blue squares indicate where it can leap.
Yellow squares are transparent to friendly pieces. (In attack form it becomes transparent, as opposed to the squares around it in normal form)
Additionally, it can capture a dwarf, even if it is the only piece attacking the dwarf.
Examples:
White can play Mxc6# The metamorph controls a7 and b8 and the bishop deilvers check. Both pieces cover b7.
White uses his turn to change the metamorph to attack form. M-AttackForm
Defense Form
Note that it is now holding a shield to indicate defense form.
In defense form, it cannot move at all.
All friendly pieces on adjacent squares become immune from capture.
Adjacent allied kings can not be put in check or checkmate.
The metamorph itself needs to be attacked at least twice to be captured. Otherwise, it is immune from capture.
The metamorph itself is immune from strange abilities from fairy pieces such as transparency from enemy pieces.
Defense metamorphs cannot provide immunity to other pieces/forms which grant immunity. Examples are angles and other defense metamorphs.
Defensive metamorphs can not be granted movement from the effects of ally pieces. For example, a defensive metamorph possessed by a spirit is still not able to move.
Example:
White would normally be getting mated incredibly quickly in this position. However, he plays M-DefenseForm
Now, it is unclear if white is immediately lost.
