FC reversion
fix some issues:
1. no eraly grasshopper attack to cause big first move advantage now
2. no useless square now
3. pawns can use in attack instead wait to be captured now
some problem:
still very drawish (orginal FC can't open position easliy, this can't claim easily.)
some useless dead pieces
what should I do?

This looks like an old revision of TWoF lol.

For the useless dead pieces, they block or you can do crazyhouse.

This is a joke, right? You're not actually going to revise RFL, right?

THIS is not a joke. i will post fight for liberty on variants.world.

i have a new WoF called "Fight for Liberty (FfL)". it's a revision for race for liberty. please read the caption for promotion information. does this look ok? i also want testers that are good at the variants (Especially WoFs). P.S. yellow and green are teams vs. the zombies. and both of the zombies are futers. you can vote for if the variant is successful.

um, please reply to t he post above (not directly) concerning FfL.

New position I was working on. One thing I am a little worried about is that while the central design looks cool, it may be too large and block the players from really interacting. Does this seem like a problem to anybody else? Maybe I should add a few more long range pieces.

Hi, here's another position that I've had in my saved templates for over a year:

It seems like it is going to violate the 50-move rule. Long range would be nice.

Crazy, takeover, fatal, king capture.

Bro I grew up (not literally but when I started to get into variants on Chess.com) with Neo pieces reading them.

There is still nearly all the pawns while there being 7 queens.

Ok I’m continuing assuming that you’re talking about dabbaba takes alfil, and followed by shuffling.
1. In general, it’s easy to destroy shuffling in atomic.
2. Torpedo mean quick promotion to a king/knight which defends the hill
3. Mates are possible after the king retreats from it’s saftey.

Thiugh I probably will add any capture, the thing I had in mind is I firstly did not want beginners accidentally blowing themselves up and I didn’t want too much similarity to variants like self destruction

Actually the opposite of what I'm talking about, more or so talking about pawn walls especially based on the nature of the board, but I need to see some games to figure whether this is or not a problem

do you mind providing a testing game?

most people cannot read neo pieces, because they are simply overcomplicated, while the other piece styles resemble normal chess pieces in their movement. A testing game also shows how the game is played.

If no one wants to join your game on the server, you can play against futers on variants-test.

Dude, you start with neo pieces. Also the connection doesn't work on the link.

You on a chromebook/mobile device? That's why.

And for the complaint about neo pieces, to quote Natalie, "Womp womp, deal with it."

Revising Halcyon

Taboo, 8th=BRV, Stalemate Win. Ferzes in the centre help prevent hill rushing.

any pre-testing tips? (I'm not going to add jump spells because that ruins too many tactics)

I don't feel like you're going to have enough pieces to free the hill. Each hill slot has two pieces guarding it, meaning you might have to sacrifice two different pieces to Koth.

use standard pieces

Neo is standard
