exactly, the pawns will be stuckt and they will value nothing because they cannot even capture!

NCV: Archipelago.  In the case of stalemate The remaining players share the points, there's no promotion, I made it 3 point checkmate given that one player is more easily able to deliver checkmate if someone resigns, and I also added crazyhouse to try to make it more decisive and to allow pieces to travel from one part of the board to another while maintaining quasi symmetry between the islands.

NCV:  King progress     (Team + Self-Partner)

Is a two players chess with self partner, so one player play play both side of the team. 

The teams are White/Blue vs Black/Green

The stalemated player lose.

There are two way to win. Or bring the blue/green king at the hill in zigzag, or capture all your white/black opponent's pieces or stalemate him. 

Important: because of the rule Taboo, we musn't check, because the enjoy is to get the hill, not checkmate. This rule make also some strategies to protect a piece by putting the king next to it, so if your opponent captutre it, he will check you and it's forbiden; so he cannot capture it.

It's like a 1d variant of chess.  Pawns promote to Camel, Knight, Wildebeest, or Queen.  The royals are confined to 4 square lines, each knight is confined to less than 1/7 of the entire board, while each camel is confined to 1/12 of the entire board.  Each Wildebeest can get to any square on the board so I suspect that the wildebeests have much more synergy than in 2d chess as they have a greater range than the pieces they're composed of combined.

I liked your earlier version, however extra pieces which I think you added are not my ideal for this variant, maybe it works fine here as I haven't tried this one yet. If you were to start the king closer to the KOTH it may allow faster pace with the king or a style where your opponent can pressure you backwards with a good selection of pieces.

The one ring.  Pawns promote to King, Knight, General, or Xiangqi Horse on the 9th rank.  It can be thought of a 1d circular variant, with the Rook confined to a 2 line fortress, the Xiangqi Horses all only moving 2 lines clockwise or only moving 2 lines counter clockwise, Knights moving 2 lines in either direction, and Generals moving 1 or 2 lines in either direction.

Rules: 3-checks, king of the hill, sideways, petrifed, bare piece rule, +10 points for checkmate, spect chet, diplomacy, 10th = king

i write it manually because gamerules are SOOO  hilarious when they pass to Google Traduction, each time i roll about laughing. I really suggest you to try. 

 

The principle is simple : the opposite of War-For-Trone

In War-For-Trone, we fight for enter the king to the center cell and get the hill. 

Here, we start in the central cell and fight to escape it the first because the hill is outside. 

The problem is that the way is blockt by soldiers, and the Royal queen can't capture it because of "petrified" rule (and she cannot capture anything). 

To get out, we should first checkmate one player to liberate one of the four exits, and be the first to escape
