that is actually a very interesting idea
this bears similarities to another variant with 1 powerful piece vs entire army (i forgot what it was called) which is not yet on chess.com, but I think it's weird because the black queen and the rest of the army is much stronger than the sole amazon, yet black checkmating white would be hard because the amazon has a lot of space to move to. Crazyhouse might be interesting tho...

Not a brain burnt, but a feasible alternative of set the board from the test mode. Anyway guess what? If people can play checkers instead of chess they'll play checkers, if just there was a way to limit the quantity of pieces of a kind while converting... or what would be better a maximum amount of centipawns per side.
