New Grasshopper Arena II position. I made some changes after testing with futer.

+10, 5th=G (3rd on 10x10), 6+, Torpedo (Couldn't get pawnbaserank to work)

Do you mean that one side can force a draw, or that if both players play the best moves the game will end in a draw? If the former, I'll try to fix it. If the latter, then at least the game is balanced, also a plus if the draw doesn't occur early on.

i'm talking about drawish endgames. since the position is already an endgame, players can set up a pawn wall and then shuffle.

Also, The sergant is IMO too strong. only linearly moveing pieces can stop it. An archbishop can't

Because it must move forwards when in check, the sergeant will usually be blocked from moving further by enemy soldiers. Is this frequently not the case?

More changes: 4+ instead of 6+, replaced e1 (symmetric editing on) with brick (Red had a first-move advantage), added a grasshopper on i1 (symmetric editing on), and No Zombies.

By No Zombies I mean the No Zombies gamerule. Random movements of zombie kind of ruins the game.

Chye3mc said he think this is boring, but I just assumed it was because he hates grasshoppers, just like 75% of variant players

I've only played one test game.

I removed the blocks to prevent checks on move 1, but I guess moving the kings defeats the blocks' purpose, so I will remove them.

I just made a new custom variant instead of working on my other one.

Rules are Crazyhouse, Bare pieces, and Fog of War.

I'll change the pawns to sergeants so that they can get through the center, because the pawns are the only pieces incapable of easily passing through the central area.

Pawns promote to every other piece on the board (excluding bricks and dead dabbaba-riders) + every piece in the crazyhouse piece bank on the 14th Rank.

Shuffling might be an issue due to fog.

4+, Torpedo, +10, 5th=G, No Zombies

I've replaced the i3 hopper with a pawn, and removed dead pieces so hoppers have more mobility.

I think no dead pieces is better b/c then you aren't depended on other players capturing the pieces, so hoppers can swap colours more easily.

It's because there are 3 players left just randomly running around the board. Bascially SImplicity endgame but harder because grasshopper.
