Which position should I use? (both are untested)

ChessMasterGS

1st one seems more intuitive (assuming this is a revision of your atomic WoF), but try both and see which one your prefer

im usin this

I changed my position again because I found a forced mate for Blue.
Line: 1. f4 Qe2 ... ... 2. i4 Qi6 g6+ Ke9 or Kd10 3. j5 Qe10#

-

Here's the new position:

Placing down the solder prevents the equivalent of Qe2, and creates another weakness that needs to be prevented, adding to variety.

If you ask me, it's very sharp,

thats the point.

You need to be able to spot threats under a fast time control.

What do you think about it

Chathuranga: Part II

The Introduction:

This is an idea for a new variant. People would say that I'm overusing the Shogi model but it's actually perfect for games in Fog of War + Crazyhouse. The Extra space mean that more pieces to be dropped in. I actually started using the standard 2 player model, but I wanted to make the pawns be pushed one space while being close to the opponent. Why? it can be defended by its own pieces easily, like moving the knights to the center and the sergeants as extra pieces.

The description:

Crazyhouse variant. Capture your opponent's royal to win. Pawns promote to Kings in the last rank.

Even though White's royal is very weak, a bishop has been added to make up for it.

Pawns promote to a King in the final rank.

The lore:

After the White King got captured by Black, the minister took over the kingdom and rebuilt his army (So did Black.) After about a decade, the two sides are ready to fight in the dark, damp rainforest. (Black starts first)

What do you guys think? It's still most probably far away from the final release, so any suggestions are being considered.

Pawns move two spaces, Castling IS allowed. No crazyhouse / fog. Considering of letting White start first because their King is extremely weak.

I'm gonna name this variant "The Minister's Chess." Crazyhouse is enabled.

I've always liked Chaturanga

To be honest it's a really good game. The Elephants are good when you know how to use them (although I agree that knights and rooks are the best pieces)

Just a suggestion, maybe make both ferzes be on the same colour.

Why is one ferz royal and the other isn't?

Read the lore.

Jack has a point: Black can checkmate White with nothing but their king.
