I'm going to make a revision that has more space because I think I can do something right with the concept of having a big pawn wall, if I add gaps in the wall and more strategy to attacking and defending.

hi! i'm testing out my new variant called "the ol' 1-2", as suggested by my irl friend.

if you want another name cuz it sounds cringy, "western pawn standoff" is also a name for it

which piece is the royal? What is promotion? Do you take all pieces?

2. take all pieces to win
3. i haven't decided promotion yet, but qrbn is too op

And what about no promotion? Stops people from relying on pawns.

the no promotion literally makes the pawns get stuck on the 8th rank though...
