New Variant Icons

Don't you hate it when you see a cool variant but the icon just looks like a no little more than a cube with some icons spat on it and call it a day.Doesn't it look like a bit.. bland to you to be honest? I think there should be a redesign.

So I made some Suggestions that would've been really dope if it was added.

The most popular variants generally have an icon; we only have a pool to choose from (thus, some variants like Minihouse have the default crazyhouse icon as opposed to something more unique) and it takes a lot of effort to convince chess.com to get an artist to add more icons. Obviously I wish it were different but for now we’re simply working with what we have

I like your concept for Behind the Mirror a lot btw, I’ll send this thread to the rest of the CGA team so hopefully it can be referenced if and when that variant gets an icon

You know it's bad when a multi million dollar for profit company can't afford an artist

Variants has 100x less players, and so logically it's never been their highest priority and it's a shame that they don't do more to help the server; they don't recognize issues with certain bugs, they don't hire enough developers, artists, helpers, etc.

To me what I value about this website is that custom variants exists as a concept at all, and so I appreciate that from them. That being said, although I volunteer for this website as a CGA I'm not afraid to criticize it as well, but we're all doing what we can.

I don't remember Thermopylae's icon being a general.

Recently changed, it looked better with one as a Featured variant and it’s one that will most likely get a dedicated icon in the future

Here is another person's NCV idea called "Explosive Magic" by BN1208. Just so you all know,if the variant gets accepted then BN1208 can decide what the icon it will be.My icon is just my idea if "Explosive Magic" gets accepted.
