new variant idea

rules: 2 kings. win by checkmating both of them. castling works both ways, but in order for both to castle it must be short castle. pawns can promote to king, making another king the opposing side has to checkmate. check rule does not apply when there are more than one king on the board (opposing side can capture.)

This is sometimes called gay chess. Sadly its not possible on chess.com variants bc theres no options for multiple royals.

I dont remember if it has the promotion to kings though, that seems interesting, if rarely applicable.
