No menu on top option

There is no longer the option to have the menu on the top when in Beta. I know this isn't a bug, so what's the point of it? I always have the menu on the top, so if it stays this way I will leave Beta.

Chess, com Beta published an article on changing navigation settings so that they no longer support the top bar. You can get used to it now, or you can get out of Beta and wait until it comes to the main Chess.com...

I already know.

Just so you know, you are the 43735132161487685226546276785th person to complain about this...

Then why don't they change it?

Why don't you try and give it a chance? It is much faster, smoother and easier to use

I like the top menu better personally.

Exactly. It's the type of thing I don't really even want to get used to.

Not everything that you/we say can be done. Most things can, but some thing might not. This is one of them. Sometimes you have to get adjusted to something new, just like you do with other changes in Beta....

100% commitment to left-side navigation. This surely will be the most controversial aspect of the change, at least for people who've been using menus at the top of the page till now. So why did we do it?Maintaining two different navigation systems brings penalties that are hard to justify. The code required to support both navigation models makes pages load more slowly and affects general performance in other ways. Likewise, defects and extra work are multiplied because our developers have to do everything twice where navigation is concerned.Left-side navigation has become more mainstream because of the proliferation of widescreen/landscape monitors - and, closer to home, allows players maximum flexibility to resize those square objects our site seems to be built around - i.e. chessboards!. (Of course, Live Chess has been side-nav-only for some time now.)

I think it's good, I have used the top navigation for a while after switching to v2 but after switching a few times you get used to it.

People complain about the way it currently is, and they complain about changes,. It is never good. I think the way chess.com is going is great!

Seriously man, just for 1 change, you're planning on leaving the site. It doesn't make sense, actually
