Not a fan of the new puzzles layout

Here's a screenshot I took of a puzzle I was just solving.

In the past (i.e. before today), all I would see is just the position itself. Now that's that annoying coach guy at the side giving me a hint about the solution. Doesn't that just defeat the whole point of solving puzzles in the first place? I mean, the whole point is to be able to stare at a position cold without any hints whatsoever (because that's what you would need to do in a real game) and figure out the solution myself. Now we have this annoying coach guy who thinks he's some kind of a chess professor offering unsolicited advice.

Sorry for the rant. If any of you chess.com higher-ups are reading this, is there an option to get rid of this annoying coach guy from my puzzles and go back to the way things were?

As far as I can tell, absolutely no one likes it.

You can turn off hints using the Settings icon. You can also disable the feature entirely if you don't like it at all.

"Click here for classic mode" should work.

It's been available for a couple of years on Android and maybe a year on iOS. While some people don't like the feature, it's not true that no one likes it.

I've completed 75,000 puzzles since it's been available, 99.99% done in the feature.

You can toggle all the various “new” features off. So don’t act like it’s messed up forever or something. And I’m sure many people enjoy this version. You’re just angry that it changed and you personally don’t like it so you go so far as to suggest that no one likes it. Calm down and turn on “classic mode.”

I don't have this when I do puzzles. Must be an option.

I turned off some of the options and kept others; since the design is flexible, I think it's a good thing.

It's only released to a subset of members currently.
