It's basically one use, Nubby. If the game drags on for way too long they might get two. And I mean way too long.

I whack Nubby from all sides with my vines

How do the vines work? Do they wrap aroind the whole body, or are they used as kind of sweeper like objects

I don't know, just imagine floating vines hitting you with one end of the vine

they pop out of the ground next to you and move to attack you (or block your path), they simply poke you with their thorns.

So if I use a platform to jump on, I wouldn't get hit, correct? I really don't know that much on flowey

It depends on how high you put the platform

Yes, but the vines don't just disappear after an attack. 

So they stay there the whole game?

until you kill them. They're very killable.

Well I jump on a platform to avoid the vines, then spawn more platforms (jumping onto another one once one dissapears) to kill the vine
