One time, my FIRST TWO puzzles had more than 3 moves!
Obvious long sequences in Puzzle Rush
In some puzzles, the "opponent" is using every desperate move to prolong not getting mated. It's most visible in the back rank mates where all possible covers are played. Once the correct first move is played, the only way to fail those problems is to missclick, because those captures are so obvious. Could the problem end earlier maybe?
As an example, https://www.chess.com/puzzles/problem/135071 could easily finish after the first move.
Good idea!
A r elated problem is the puzzles trying to get every last ounce out of the position before it quits, sometimes the point is the last closer of the combo but in "real games" if you've won the rook, the last pawn doesn't really figure as much depending on your style of consolidating.
Meanwhile you burned at best 40 seconds looking and at worst score an X you really need later!
