Nobel Prize for Custom Variants 2024

Sup guys, it's VishTheFish771! Today I will be saying my favorite records of the year for the people of this club! Let's begin with:
1. Best First Submittion of the Year goes to- @brasterze (Acheron)

Acheron was an excellent submittion by Brasterze and was their first submittion as well! I remember seeing a message by ChessmasterGS which said "This is by far the best first submittion in a long time." GG!

2. Best advice for variants goes to- @NoWellOkay

NWO has definitely been giving out a lot of advice, especially recently. His detailed comments in the workshop thread probably made some auto declines just declines and some declines acceptions!

Yes Andrew definitely deserves runner up for this. Your advice has been really good! Pretty helpful for Well of Fate as well
3.Best variant submitter goes to- @chye3mc

Honestly there were so many good submitters this year but this has to go to Chye. Why? Well other than getting an NCV accepted (seargent's checkers II) it takes huge dedication to submit 30 lobotomy variants and get them all declined. Also don't forget all of his other submittions! and the most important part- RANDOM PIECES JUMPSCARE!

4. Best new member to the club- @vishthefish771

6.Best Overall Creator- @2bhnstWell this guy definitely deserves mention for 4 accepted NCVs!?!??! That's more NCVs then I'll probably ever submit! Also Lobotomy Runway isn't bad at all.
Runner up- I have no idea who to put here, give me an idea

7. Best Super Admin- Tie between @ChessmasterGS and @QilpYes it's a 2 way tie. What's that I hear? There's only 2 super admins? Well, it's still a two way tie. Excellent job this year you guys!

8. Best New Variant - Explosive Magic by @BN1208

- I really really REALLY love playing this. As an atomic main (and bad at spell chess, but I like it) I really love Atomic Spell Chess and fairy pieces combo!

Runner Up: Saturns Rings by @asthebird

-We all knew @asthebird would eventually get a mention! Ends Meet is actually a cool and fun variant, and I really like the low amount of gameruales and its uniqueness.

9. Best New Wof - Rowchess by @chye3mc

- It's a trend setter, what can I say!

Runner-Up - Treehouse battle by @chye3mc and barricade by @imchesspro0930

- FESTIVE FORTUNE 2024!!!!! 
-Also I love atomic so yeah

I am actually quite split of the best acception between The Lake, Saturn's Rings and Acheron

8. Best New Variant - Saturn's Rings by @asthebird

- I like the variant's use of strategies and fairy pieces, this is easily one of the best variants on this server!

Runner Up: Ambush by @coolthing

- I don't like Ambush due to Fog of War and it is a little bit luck based, but it deserves an honourable mention due to it's popularity and simplicity. I also like the fact that an FM made this.

9. Best New Wof - Rowchess by @chye3mc

- I know I am selecting my own variant for this, but I believe that the reason why this variant is best is because of the Rowchess trend.

Runner-Up - Treehouse Battle by @chye3mc

- FESTIVE FORTUNE 2024!!!!! (made in late 2023 actually)

Fun Fact: Bishop War was actually my first real attempt at creating a WoF after I knew what it was. My first submission (Monster Chess) was a WoF, but I wanted it to be an NCV because I didn't know that WoF's existed at this time. Therefore, this should be a runner up.
