Also last week some guy called Erik promised the old lessons would start reappearing within a week that was 13 days ago..... What exactly is they issue?..... I can't believe this level of incompetence.. Is chess. Com going out of business?
Old lessons removed?
Do you remember the name of the course you are looking for? I can help you find it!
I was working on the regular sicilian openings (they had about 40 modules: mcdonell, lipnitzky, etc..). Now I cannot access them.

By the way when I get a comment alert and press on read it takes me to a page asking me to sign in with me face book. It doesn't matter which FB account I'm currently signed into or even if I'm signed in AT ALL to FB it always takes me to the same old incorrect chess.com account.... Guys GET IT TOGETHER NOTHING WORKS.. haha

But far and away the most astounding thing is the new lessons simply do not have ratings???? WHY??? HAHA

Went to PayPal and Canceled my Payments.. It was easy y'all.... Just go to settings money bank and card then look for recurring payments link... Cancel...

Not every single course was able to migrate. We moved about 85% of them.
Here are all of our courses on the Sicilian...https://www.chess.com/lessons/search?keyword=sicilian I'm not sure which one you were doing.
We are currently re-vamping the entire Lessons experience. I agree we need to add back in the skill levels. I'm sorry. I'm not satisfied with where our Lesson are right now. There is a LOT to improve about the interface. The content is awesome though. We are working to make it better.

Gee what made you finally wake up? Never noticed the ratings were missing? How did you not realize that, you've been working on this for year ?!!! Can I have your job?

Chess.com
Still waiting for the old lessons removed link.
I just did one regular lesson with video, with 5 challenges, so I can realize for your new plans Gold or Platinum and sorry about the word: I consider that instead of ridiculous a robbery.

Chess.com
Common sense says to me when you were working on the new lessons, you should finish your job first, before making changes in the plans, so you could improvise to the new lessons and get rid of the old. But all of this with some equality as before which is not happening. Like a costumer I fell almost insulted with your decisions. In my opinion there is no improvement in the new lessons #Quantity vs Price".
Talking and repeating myself again. I am not happy with 3-5 weekly lessons for Gold or Platinum.
I was thinking in upgrading my plan a few weeks ago, when I realized the old lessons where removed, just like that.
What a disappointment. and until now I don't see any positive changes. Only greediness.
I will never upgrade to Diamond, and for other plans if you guys dont make any decent changes, neither.
Sorry but you are loosing customers.

Aww looks like someone (this guy) doesn't have a diamond anymore... What fo ? The only reason I had it was they lessons but now there are no more upper level lessons and all the lessons don't even have ratings anymore... Who's still buying this???

My update on this thread:
I mostly just quit chess.com and chess overall. I haven't seen much of a change and although the old lessons were 'added' back, the format, rating, etc is not there anymore and I'm not motivated enough to do them anymore. I'm very saddened that my diamond membership has come to this, and most of all I regret that chess isn't entertaining anymore for me, as lessons kept me getting better and motivated me to keep playing. It's not really the content that's the problem for me anymore, I just really hate change and the format is unappealing to me (it's not for everyone, and I'm just one of the people that probably doesn't like it). I totally understand how hard employees and staff are working, and you did what benefited the site the most (although I don't know why, you guys know best and it's a matter of data and statistics). This brings up another point, how rude people are.
I've seen the progress in the old lessons coming back and I can see that it takes a lot of work to bring this kind of stuff back, and spending so much time (and probably money) doing this just because a small portion of the community wanted them back shows that you, in fact, care. There are some things that cannot be changed, and at some point there's not more they can do to help. There are going to be some downsides and advantages for bringing the old lessons back, for one, that takes money, and so they have to try and find a way to get that money back. It's not greed, it's business. If you are not satisfied with the amount of work they have done to even try to make you happy, that is not their problem. They tried to make you and the community happy, and it's understandable that the changes are not satisfactory for everyone, but it's already too late to start changing things up again. Being disrespectful will not get you faster or better service, so it would be best to actually try and compromise and be grateful for what they've done to help. Acting like a two year old that throws a tantrum when they don't get exactly what they want is not the way to go. I might be being rude myself right now, but I've been lurking on this thread for the past few months and I'm still appalled by how disrespectful people are, and I'm just too petty to not say anything. Try being nice for once, and you might get better results. I don't think anybody would like to try to do something out of kindness when you're almost harassing them.
I would like to thank Erik and the rest of the staff team for all their hard work. I hope people treat you better.

My update on this thread:
Nice words, and I agree with some of of what you wrote, but not all.
The changes happened last month, and the plans where changed a bit latter after the removal of the old lessons.
And that's precisely the where the problem remains:
Its not as worth as before to pay for gold or platinum, unless you can afford Diamond, so simple as that.
You cannot change the number of weekly lessons, just because you are spending money working on the new lessons to adapt/adjust like as before CHESS.COM.
Don't try to deceive or mislead the customers while I had 5 old lessons daily and now I have three weekly of the ones?! (gold)
Lets be rude now:
Coronavirus is helping you in this so well, when the quarantine is lifted, you already have new customers paying for your chess website
. and thats the real numbers and statistics. Not only the work you have being doing.
The new lessons where done for quite a while....there is nothing new. you just changed the plans.
Dont try to make people stupid, or find excuses, because there is none in this case.
Only a blind guy could see that.
Bye bye.

The Old Lessons and New Lessons are both called lessons, but they are not the same. I don't think it's fair to compare the product and premium benefits using the same terms.
As I stated before, in terms of actual lessons, OLD lessons had only 1 challenge per lesson. So, 1 learning position. New lessons have 5-10 learning positions per lesson. Let's say 7 on average.
Previously you could do 3 learning positions per day, or 21 per week.
Now you can do 3 lessons per week, with ~7 learning positions each, or ~21 per week. AND, many of them have videos.
I'm sorry, but Old Lessons (and their limits) are not equal to New Lessons (and new limits). I believe we have given equal or more material for the same value.
Hi Erik, please arrange for a way to bring the old lessons back in their original format. I know you have said they are still on the site but it appears as though they are in video form. I would GREATLY appreciate the original format. The video lessons are nice and all but not everyone learns that way. Even if they weren’t perfect they still got me thinking about the game in a different manner than I normally would. Please just bring them back. Thank you.
Incredible
