Let's consider how the editor has been modified over the course of its history. I joined chess.com in early 2022 around the time of the merge and have never witnessed ANY new pieces being added since. What I did Witness was the addition of several new rulesets and updates to the editor. In early 2023 duck chess was added along with setup chess. In early 2024 spell chess was added. The winter/early spring being the busiest time of the year, maybe there is something scheduled for this year as well? I Have no knowledge of any such plans however. Feel free to elaborate and correct me if I'm not accurate. STAFF/Developers are responsible for these sorts of changes.

Before the 4PC merge there was no such thing as the Xiangqi horse on Chess.com, nor the Dragon Bishop. Also, chancellors were called elephants, archbishops were called hawks and it was only in 2019(?) I think when any fairy piece was added to 4PC
Which Staff of the clubs "Variants" or "Custom Variants" is most likely to develop and officially add more pieces that can be put on Custom variants?
I just wanted to know, which club is more likely to officially add more pieces which can be used,to hint myself on better NCV and WOF positions.
