9.e.Lxd5=+L (I've used the Golden General as the symbol because the promoted lance and golden general move basically the same and I don't want to avoid confusion)

I agree, but if it will be captured lance goes to reserve, not the gold. You need to remember that it's lance.

BTW, I only now realized that many pieces in shogi are forward oriented (lance, knight, gold, silver), but, for example, you don't have an opponent to attack in forward. Any ideas how to fix that? Maybe by adding ability to change direction after their moves (I don't know how it will do)?
