STAGE 1 - 4 PLAYER CHESS

Game starts from 4 player chess standard starting position

No points counting

After capturing a piece you take it into your reserve (what is it - read in 'STAGE 2 SETUP')

After A checkmates B, all B's pieces go to A's reserve (and delete from the board). A also steal B's reserve

After B forfeits (resign/timeout) all B's pieces keep staying on the board. Everyone can capture it to take into reserves. In this situation capturing a king has no different between other capture

Stage ends when 2 players eliminated,

if there're still dead pieces on the board, begins post-stage 1, if no, begins stage 2 setup

POST-STAGE 1

No captures of living players' pieces allowed, but it's allowed if capturing piece just captured dead piece (C captured piece of dead player B, A is allowed to capture C's piece)

Stage ends when there're no more dead pieces

STAGE 2 SETUP

Empty 2 player chess board. Players setup remaining from stage 1 and post-stage 1 pieces in the right order (pawns on 2nd rank, RNBQKBNR on 1st rank). If there're 1 piece (or a pawn) for many squares, player choose himself where to place it.

Then players place pieces from reserves (if there're empty squares on 1-2 ranks). Extra pieces placing out of the board, staying in reserves.

STAGE 2 - 2 PLAYER CHESS

Same as stage 1 but with 2 players and special placement rule.

Placement rule: you can also place pieces from the reserves:

King can be placed anywhere on the board (not under check) only after you lose your original king. Pawns can be placed on square on 2nd rank only on next move after original pawn leave it (or being captured and capturing piece leave this square). Other pieces can be placed like pawns, but only on their original files (red pieces placement for example: d and k for rook, e and j for knight, f and i for bishop, g for queen). Placing king is compulsory, other pieces and pawns - not.

Player eliminates when all his kings was checkmated

Other rules like in stage 1, but you can't place pieces from the reserve captured in stage 2

Stage and the game ends when all kings of one of the players are captured

Other rules:

Time: 3 days/move

Setup moves counting as normal turn. When you run out of pieces in reserve, you just pass turns before the main stage starts

Placement moves (placement instead of your leaving piece) is the same turn as piece leaving (like in Seirawan chess)

Changing colors:
In stage 3 from green to red get white and black (for example: RB advanced to stage 3, R -> Black, B -> White)
