Post here if there is a specific opening you want to learn or refine, so we can share our work.
I think opening knowledge becomes more important at master level, so it's helpful to have an opening repertoire. I currently play primarily 1.e4 as White, mostly preffering mainstream openings, though I do have a number of 'pet' sidelines such as 7.Nh3 in the mainline Caro-Kann and the Ponziani. I'm going to start studying openings more seriously now, in addition to my regular tactics practice and endgame study.
As Black I respond to 1.e4 with 1...e5 and 1.d4 with 1...d5 mostly, though I also occasionally play the Caro-Kann. I'm working on putting my opening repertoire into ChessBase and expanding it. I can share those files here as well.
This thread will be a master topic for all Opening threads, with links to discussions about specific openings.
