This topic will contain information about endgame resources.
I highly recommend these two books:
100 Endgames You Must Know, by Jesus de la Villa
How to Play Chess Endgames by Karsten Muller and Wolfgang Pajeken
Other resources:
6-man tablebases: http://www.k4it.de/index.php?topic=egtb&lang=en
This thread will be a master list of tactics resources.
My recommendations:
www.chesstempo.com
Shredder Chess Android app (for drilling quickly - try to maintain 95+%)
Houdini 3 Pro tools - Attack Training, Defense Training, Mate Training, etc.
This analysis is useful for both sides but I prepared it for Black. White is slightly better in the main line so it is not recommended for play above master level.
Here are some lines I've been working on for Black against the Italian. I am particularly interested in the 4.Ng5 line with 8.Bd3 where the move 8...Ng4!? is fascinating to me.
