Opponent blunder = tactical game for me

I thought I'd share this. It's the first live game that I have played for some time (a couple of weeks I think). I find it an interesting game as this one blunder followed by and inaccuracy (or another blunder) allowed for some real tactical plays for me. Enjoy Smile

Some nice action!

my first question would be why do you think 6. e5 is worth it? what do you benefit? what do you give up?

Thanks for the compliment Phillip Laughing

In answer to your question, I was referring to the likely exchange that would lead the Queen to the f6 square. In this position I have gained a tempo for white (as the queen will run), weakened king side defences (I can still castle queenside too), have a slightly more developed game (black's ls bishop is a few tempi from developing), current control of the centre, and created 2 black pawn islands. In return I have created a passed pawn for black that seems fairly defendable, opened up a hole for black's rook on the g file, and also given black the opportunity for a strong attack on my queen side (If I castle qs) using the a1-h8 diagonal with Q+B. I still think it is worth it, but I think you may disagree.. Smile
