Option to turn timeout win to a draw or simply void the game

I would suggest that in Daily game if the opponent times out, the winner would have an option of instead of taking the win to turn it into a draw or simply void the game with no impact to the elo of either player. This obviously would not harm anyone and the winner would have at least an option to consider whether they consider it reasonable to take the win or not. I do not mind timeout win, but to get a timeout win after few moves in totally open position is bit boring and it screws up the statistics a bit.

agree, my daily chess rating is inflated because of this

You and your opponents have 24+ hours time to move so I think it’s fair. Overwise you can play unrated.

This still would leave the winner the choice to take the win if they want. That would be the default option so to speak.

I like the idea.

imo I’d also like a mode to give both players infinite time to make moves, like a casual chess game at home. Probably would be better if it was only between friends though.

You can turn off the auto-claim feature, though the game will still end if no moves are made in 60 days after time expires.

Ok. Now I feel stupid. I thought the auto-claim on/off only affected the non-daily format? So what happens if that feature is OFF and the daily game time outs?
