I agree, when I think about people, they tend to become the very thing they hate. If someone is so upset about racism, they will see it everywhere, whether it is there or not; for them, it will be unavoidable. If you think any group is corrupt and that group is your focus, you will see corruption all the time, since that is what you are looking for. Small wonder Jesus said the truth will set us free, we will not see untrue things because we are focusing on finding them if they are not actually there.
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Romans 12:2

I’ve been thinking a lot about my thought life. It is a hard thing to try to do these things, and without God, I believe it is impossible; with God, all things are possible. There is a lot to be said about our focus in life, where we are focused.
