War room is a movie about a mother that used her prayer room to pray for her family and others, she called this the war room. We all need a war room. Here you can request prayer and I and others will pray for your request. If you feel that it is too personal or you rather not elaborate in here, send me or any elder a pm with the request. More so, type ... in this forum chat. Those three dots will let us know to pray for you, because God knows your request, and He will do the work. Trust in God, He is an awesome God and He wants to help us. He loves you!!! - Theo

I am going into the prison dates coming, I’m going to put a little note here if you want to be a part of this, so the prisoners can see it. I copied the form we hand out, but since I cannot give it to anyone here, if you tell me what you’d write if you could, I’ll make sure there is a paper for the link that will be made. If I’m not mistaken, the last one, Hughes #53, had around 1,500 links wrapped around the room where everyone was meeting; it went around a couple of times. It was a moving sight. One guy who wasn’t impressed with the whole event started looking at them, saw a name he recognized, and lost it. We don’t know what can touch a heart, so even if you do not respond to them, pray and tell others as well. There is a little chain in the picture, so you can see what I'm talking about. KAIROS HUGHES #54 PRAYER CHAIN PLEASE CIRCLE THE DAY OF THE WEEK YOU WILL PRAY APR 16 APR 17 APR 18 APR 19 PLEASE PRINT THE START TIME YOU WILL PRAY ___________________________________________ PLEASE PRINT OR WRITE YOUR FIRST NAME (LAST OPTIONAL) __________________________________________ PLEASE PRINT OR WRITE YOUR CITY, STATE, COUNTRY, CHURCH ___________________________________________

Since no truth can contradict another truth, in a perfect system, when viewed holistically, we will see harmony in cultures where love is the main moral goal, and what is not loving becomes painfully obvious. Well-formed groups centered on Jesus Christ, who care for each other, will align themselves because love in truth will act as a gravitational force pulling us together. There will always be a pulling away, a fight against love and truth, even among members who strive to do it all right. Which is why living in Grace is so important here, as we received it in full, we need to give it in full. Those who oppose this relationship will always find reasons for division, justifications for acts of strife, hateful rhetoric, holding grudges, and failing to forgive, as they also reject the forgiveness offered to all. Without the head, without Jesus Christ, our nature will refuse that harmony; being self-centered, we will resist and oppose Christ as Lord. Not having Him as the head means a divided people, each setting their own agendas, each crafting their own measure of good and evil. Those who wish no restraint upon themselves will be like people floating in outer space; they will have nothing to stand on outside of their own desires, no gravity there.

Proverbs 27:17: "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." This is a debate thread between myself and @PraiseJesusForever on the question: "Do scientific, archeological, and extrabiblical historical evidence support the authenticity of Shroud of Turin?" Feel free to chip in. While this debate is chiefly between @PraiseJesusForever and myself, we may bring up others' comments if we find them relevant. In my opinion that, on balance; scientific, archeological, and extrabiblical historical evidence do not support the authenticity of Shroud of Turin, @PraiseJesusForever believes they do. We will go back and forth, one at a time, only editing our comments for spelling and grammar; and backing up our positions with evidence. @PraiseJesusForever will start with their opening post, which I will respond to. This is a partner thread of the "Is the Shroud of Turin's authenticity consistent with the Bible?" thread on the "Strictly Bible" club. the thread: https://www.chess.com/clubs/forum/view/is-the-shroud-of-turins-authenticity-consistent-with-the-bible

Philippians 4:8Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Romans 12:2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 1 Corinthians 10:13There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. I’ve been thinking a lot about my thought life.  It is a hard thing to try to do these things, and without God, I believe it is impossible; with God, all things are possible.  There is a lot to be said about our focus in life, where we are focused.

I often think about the attributes of God, which are truly mind-blowing. For example, He transcends time while we have the past, present, and future; He is. Thinking about that, it dawned on me that as I have lived life from start to where I am now, each time I sinned against God and man, it was as if someone did something at this moment in time, in the now. I experience all things in the now, but then things fade into the past. So I can get angry about what someone just did to me. Still, with God, every time I lied in the past, cheated, stole, those things I don’t even want to admit I did, or even all the evil things I thought about doing, all are before God in the here and now with Him, they do not fade into the past, as He does not experience reality as I do. So each day we live, our sins compile before God, and we move toward the end of our lives, a fixed point that is certainly coming for all of us. Then I think about Jesus’ life here. He went through life healing while we killed, all He did, we were doing the opposite, and at the end of His life, He lay down, He was crucified. At the end of His life, He was sinless. So, the fixed point in time, the cross of Christ, what happened there was He who knew no sin, became sin, ours! His walk here was blameless, ours was full of guilt, and at the cross, He willingly took the blame for everything each of us ever did or thought to justify us by being punished for our sins. In our lives, He tells us to pick up our crosses and follow Him, giving ourselves to Him as He gave Himself for us. In Him, justified by the very God of all creation, by the very righteousness of God! We were not saved by the love and mercy of God at the expense of God’s goodness and righteousness, but through God’s goodness and righteousness, He gives us His love and mercy. We cannot earn God’s grace and mercy; even trying to earn it, or feeling that God owes us because of something about us, such as how we live or who we are, diminishes it by suggesting it wasn’t enough, so we have to add to it. We are called to come to Him, own our sins before God, and repent of them, asking Him to make us new creatures in Christ by His work in us. God is the best part of being a Christian; to make claims about being one without actually turning to Him for His soul-saving work in our hearts, we miss out on the reality of Christ and the joy of the Lord. One of the best parts of the gospel of Christ is timelessly the same for all of us, those who have been walking with Him for years, those who just started their lives with Him, those who are on the fence, and those who don’t know, its still the same answer, Jesus is Lord and He died and rose from the dead to save us from our sins before God. It is an experience of divine making, not a theological theory or doctrine; it must be in the heart, not the head.
According to the Bible, sleep is a gift Jesus Christ provided us knowing we are not meant to be awake 24/7. Even outside the Bible, the devastating effects of sleep deprivation are well documented.Bible verses pointing towards the importance of sleep.Proverbs 3:24 If you lie down, you will not be afraid, when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.Psalm 4:8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone O LORD, make me dwell in safetyPsalm 3:5 I lay down and slept; I woke again, knowing the LORD sustained me.Psalm 127:2 It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives his beloved sleep. Before Eve was created, Jesus Christ put Adam into a deep sleep before performing the surgery required to create Eve. That is the main example where during sleep it's a vote of trust in Jesus Christ.During a sleep study, the stages of sleep form a city skyline in appearance. That to me points towards intelligent design concerning sleep.

Take the time to change your viewing preference on social media, to what builds you up and teaches you something about God and the Gospel. Everyone relaxes with funny cats and jokes, but most of the clips we watches, are filled with lies, anger, revenge, dreams of money and failed dreams. Here is a few clips worth watching, and you are welcome to add more in sending a reply. God bless you

God shows us how he uses marriage as a parable for us to understand him and the love he wants from us  He wants us to “cleave” unto him as he commands a man to leave his parents and cleave to his wife. All over scripture he uses marriage as an example for us and through understanding how he feels and is treated in his union with us, we share in his sufferings and are brought to understanding.     He calls us his bride      And he divorces his first bride Israel  And invites us all to the wedding  We wait on the groomsmen  These are the parables given by Jesus  God says he wants to be in all our thoughts. He wants to be always considered in all we do, as we want in marriage. This is the cleaving. When we love someone everything they do affects us. We are sharing one life, and deeply care if their needs are our needs and their sorrow our sorrow, their joy our joy.  He feels with us in our afflictions and we should also feel with him in his. Seek his heart and face. He wants to be our escape, our refuge, our place of rest. Our trust, our hope, our comfort. This is to cleave. He wants us to delight in him and him in us.  during tribulations this gets tested and much comes against our minds and hearts and souls. We are tempted as the Israelites after being delivered from slavery and witnessing many miracles they still didn’t give God the credit but the golden calf, they didn’t trust God who was delivering them to a good place, they accused God of leading them to their deaths but he was going to defeat the armies in the land for them, he was angry that they didn’t see his love and who he is and doubted his character, forgot who he is. I think this is why we are given the mystery in marriage: man is to love his wife and woman is to respect her husband. Respect in our language doesn’t really paint the full picture of what it is. To respect biblically is to believe in someone’s good character. This is something we cannot and should not do for all men. Not to be a respecter of persons but to honor all men. Honor is outward. Respect is inward- sometimes a word for it is to cover. To cover transgressions, and assume the best despite what we see or understand. A good example of respecting this way in action: say my fiance offends me with something he has said, I choose not to be offended covering this transgression with the many good things he has said and done. Giving the grace I myself sometimes need rather than rushing to judgement. Anyway I wanted to share what I’ve been learning. Hope this helps someone else.

Anyone else ever feel this way? I need your gentleness now I crave your tender moments  Assuring me somehow Amidst this torment  The kind that comes with hope deferred  When everything goes wrong I forget your words Like job caught wondering why It’s no surprise  Maybe a test I fail every time  How do I give you this fear When it’s you and my imperfections How do I trust for all I ask- is it mere Cause and reactions  I need your perfection  Will I ever be able to have confidence in your love  Or always be too guilty in my sin  How can I ever do enough  When your face is turned my confidence is lost in all I am I need you now To hold my hand How can I ever do any good  I feel prevented  When I think I’ve understood  I’m always reminded that my righteousness is but rags Then wonder how to dare to hope for all I ask  Tossed by my need  It’s great Highs and lows as hope fades All I really want is your purpose  To walk in your tender ways Make you proud Know your face To endure with moments of joy Confidence of your grace To be joined With others in this place In a world of isolation To have your union

Thoughts:The difference between living according to evidential facts and proof, or faith, is that living by faith reveals the truth of what and why a person acts!To paraphrase, Clay Jones, who mentioned something like this in his book, “Why God allows evil.” If you knew you would or could be caught if you did something you wanted to do, that was wrong or evil, even in your own eyes. Would not doing it be because of our morals, or fear of getting caught? It would appear to be the same restraint by the conduct, but they would be for different reasons.Given the opportunity, when we believe we can do something without being caught, it reveals our hearts for who we are. Our restraint in the face of opportunity shows we say no to evil. Men love darkness because our deeds are evil, which makes sense if we like doing things without fear of getting caught. So, it proves the scripture that tells us those who are just will live by faith! Even given the opportunity, we will restrain ourselves by living in righteousness as best we can. We believe and put our faith in the Lord God of heaven and earth, who helps shape our lives by obeying His Word, statutes, and precepts. He forgives us as we ask Him to when we acknowledge our faults and repent when needed; that, too, is walking in the light, being honest, and not trying to hide who or what we are. In our weaknesses, He is strong. The safest place to be is with the God who loves us, who became one of us so that he could take our guilt onto Himself and pay for our sins.

Hey guys 👋 I’m Emma and new here. I think it’s so cool y’all started this group. I make songs to exhort my brothers and sisters in Christ, I noticed some of yall got YouTube channels as well and let’s follow one another! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtGt2MmcgWOq7XbMb8BQdwTdtKtYFoH_i&si=kW_jEukkVdRH_exV Also got some words of I hope encouragement. The latest thing God showed me was yesterday. I’ve been praying for some eyes to be opened and he points out that jesus opened the eyes of the blind! It’s our job to learn to trust him and believe for what we ask. When God led the people out of Egypt into a good promised land he wanted for them, they gave his glory to a golden calf and forsook him, complained, delayed, didn’t love him, and didn’t trust him still when he got them to the promised land that the same God who led them by fire through water would destroy the armies. But he delivered the heads of kings for them to let in foreign gods to destroy his good gifts and they wondered back to Egypt after giving their land away to foreigners in Isaiah and Jeremiah. We miss Gods heart and love. He wants to give us so much good and leads us, and he doesn’t love us because we are perfect by any means or don’t murmur and complain and seek deliverance from our own strength and depend on other things. God called Peter a rock before he was one! Even knowing he would deny God three times. He knew you since the beginning of time and all you would do, John 1. And still chose you, and he doesn’t call you by your sins but what he will do in you as he completes you. We are all his cherished children and he is leading us to all we will be as the author and finisher of our faith. Be of good cheer he has overcome the world! Be blessed!
