what if when creating a not perfect square you can crop a specific part of it because sometimes when you have PFPs that arn't a square, they don't get what you want them to get.

(i'm not complaining cuz I have a PFP that won't work, because I perpously design them to be 200*200)

I agree with this. I ran into the same issue and had to manually make my PFP a perfect square before uploading it, otherwise the part I actually wanted just got cut off.

A simple crop or preview option during upload would save a lot of unnecessary tweaking and make profile pictures look the way people intend.

For sizing, you should be able to do that before you upload. Scale it to the correct size

  • Your avatar should be square and at least 175 x 175 pixels to ensure it appears correctly across the site.

what do I do if I don;t know how to scale it before?

I don't know how to crop stuff, so if I have this 1500 by 2000 (which is way too big to begin with) how am I suppose to crop it to a square?

(example of a non-square and way to large image ^)

also Google told me that 175*175 when I was create a custom PFP for someone, which is very close to 200*200, and usually the software I use has a little border when it comes to PFPs anyways
