This evening I visited my mother in hospital, after, I went to Clayton Lane, watched some football, then some chess, then some football. Then I had a chat with a YCA official, can't help feeling I was being played, but why? Could it be the committee share my opinion on the ECF's attitude?
Seemingly the worry is tournament fees, I don't care, my worry is the effect on local leagues.
Hi Adrian, to me the ECF is a business. Unlike local leagues chess players have no say in decisions made. I expect that any monies paid by me to a club are used solely for activities of that club.
If the ECF monopoly comes in how much will I be bled for then!
