I just love alliteration. Adrian has posted a game on facebook,I am going to try and put it on a board and post it backk.
Calderdale has a new club, old players so they know where we play, but where do they play? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVEflECtfBM
Called into Clayton Lane tonight,Clough Final week, expected more players, but my eyes aren't as they were. Planning to leave when Adrian, said he wanted a favour(I knew them Avenue tickets would prove expensive). So a conversation developed(inbetween moves), I am wanted as a tutor!!Ridiculous! But maybe some good?? I suggested to Adrian rather than one on one, some form of club night be set up with group inter-action. Suddenly wheels are in motion xxxx no they are not(a tune in my head) but discussion expanded, the landlady got involved with planning and I thought- it won't happen!! My own feelings on these out of season club nights? Best weekly.well advertised, provide some business to the venue and have a stripper. So, the BDCA(my Arch enemy) have meetings coming up. will there be off season chess in a common venue? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GBDN3G0QoU
Monday, don't feel good, match at Todmorden, car needs a run,set off early, take it steady. Trades Club, car park empty(nearly), bar sparce.I go upstairs Dave M has set up alone, sit and chat, more Toddy arrive, we chat, talk of tottie(?). Panic over. Now we are five. Sit down, my opponent joins me(hope to finish quick, I have an appointment at the BRI in the morning.) Rush my play, so does David, and he does it better! Lose a pawn, slow down,so does David-I'm looking for a draw David (my opinion) looks for the kill. I'm still alive, and the BRI like me too! The Game with musical accompaniment(hopefully).
A long time ago, I posted the details of several Yorkshire chess clubs and asked that anyone involved with those clubs, contact me and take over. Response nil so I started removing postings, suddenly chess.com re-organising and I am now a member of 31 groups/teams. When trying to resign from those teams with whom I have no connection, I am vetoed by the computer(I am the sole/soul admin) and can not find a way to disolve the club. Will my torment never end? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OM3Vjxs6Xao
I feel like a bloody muskateer, now we are three, I am calling for volunteers- Kipling or Floyd? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXdNnw99-Ic
Well there's another nice mess I've got us into. I received a challenge from an Argentinian team and accepted, who made me manager? Where's Mr Bump? My spanish is terrible, but I think we are playing for a cup, not the Falklands. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxiig5VN57I
Another good position, another game I blew! Too many blunders , must be my age! Can't turn back the clock!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsCLsc_NRXQ

Ten little injuns standing in a line, One toddled home and then there were nine! Called into Clayton Lane tonight in the other room the BDCA AGM was in full swing. At half-time(third quarter?) a few players came in,I had already been informed that Ilkley C had refused promotion, there was going to be a vote Bradford = or Shipley up? I repeated to those disenfranchised present, a suggestion I made years ago, increase the first division to ten,six in the second, six in the third. Starry starry night? perhaps they'll listen now?
Last night Halifax A played a re-arranged fixture, Scott and Carlos played. They also played for the B team. Wonders never cease!
Fighting relegation felt one point would be enough, bit of pressure, looked at other games. Tony offered a draw, Paul was winning easily and I felt we would get at least a point from the other games. Calderdale site says 2 1/2- 2 1/2 but trying to get the scorecard is impossible for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWa6QBs8B8Q The game

Calderdale v David Brown. Calderdale needed 3 and half. After 4 games we had one win and two draws so myself and Nick Sykes needed a win and a draw. My game looked lost and Nick's looked drawn. Here is what happened in mine. And hats off to Nick for conjuring a win from his game. Calderdale go through.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvjTjrYT20M Brighouse picked up two points last night, at one point I thought the score might be 0-5. The result takes the pressure off us,maybe our next visit, at the end of March, won't be a decider. I'm looking forward to driving in daylight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIDOEsQL7lA
Honours even at 2 and half each. This is my game against wily old Spanish Zorro Angel Gonzalez. Analysis by Fritz.
Away to Wakefield in the Bill Lumley Rapidplay. Couldn't find it in the sunlight, easy in the dark, am I one of the undead? My game against Mark, from memory https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41ZyPLwA0S8
I have a list of players I can't beat,at the top we have Tony! Came close last night. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qn7YcPQgPDo
At last Brighouse win! Varied my opening for the third time, what has Nick done to me,many years since I played the Spanish. Te quiero Ruy Lopez!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vij9bXUoE3A
Vengeance is ours.....1-4 last year 4-1 this. When I left I thought Ronnie would draw. We had black,so let's look forward to St Paddy's Eve! My game- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sVShT6nVTA
