it seems this is what ncv tester do and, you dont have to say it, we say it(because everyone know and they will just invite you)
Please suggest a name for this variant based on a Seirawan Custom position
On one hand, this should streamline the game:

Please notice the removal of the dabbaba - I think it was the main culprit of the clogged board.
On the other hand, I really like the pawns moving one by one and starting on the first rank. You want to advance your pawns? Well, invest some moves in that then. You have to build your own position. This contributes to having each game be different.

Time controls with a generous per-move bonus contribute to making each game more unique - I want the game to be able to last many moves without players being rushed.
Please contribute your suggestions
no. this is a textbook example of how a downgrade chess should be(and in a spirit of Chaturanja and Villagers Chess). my suggestion is replace ferz with bishop and one of the elephants to alibaba.
My advice is, since right now the position is slow and there aren't easy positional advance, remove some of pieces (elephants, etc.)
To keeping the concept, I suggest you to add some sergeants (with a unique placement to avoid it being too similar to vc, Acheron), alibabas are possible, I suggest you to add some and having a try on them. pieces like wazir need replacing or repositioning, to avoid positional advance being too slow. Also, a well-chose game rule will add more interestingness and uniqueness, such as KoTH, n-check.
Hello everyone! Since this variant has been declined (see https://variants.world/posts/784), does anybody know who I can speak with to understand if and how I can improve this in order to have higher changes of getting this accepted?
I would like to know if there are some simple improvemets I could make without disrupting the idea behind the variant, or the very idea behind the variant wasn't liked. E.g., maybe a different time control and a different initial distribution of pieces would help, but I'd like to know before investing like a lot of time into this.
Hi! I'm a NCV Tester, one of the few people who review variants. If you have time, I would love to help and give advice to perhaps try and improve upon the original idea. Just ask questions here, reach out to me in DMs, or invite me to a game when you need to.
