MK,

If you want a straight answer put it in a chess engine. if you want to study how to reach it by yourself, which is the goal of the group, work with me, let me guide you to finding it yourself.

How about evaluating the position after both Kb1 and Kd2 with the tools I gave in my article?

guess i'm jus not c'n it .. Ne2+ looks good2me no matter what .. but ur right, i could find a chess engine & learn that way insted of from a human Tongue Out

Spochman

is this the result of the position evaluation after kb1? to sac the queen?

for a start- please write your full evaluation of the position after Kb1. adress all fields given in the article.

MK,

you will not learn the way using an engine. just an answer, not the thought process that led to it. your call mate.

Anyway, this group is for people who don't use engines to find moves, but learn how to find them themselves.

Master_Kaina

ya i'v been awake for 2days so maybe i'll cumbak2ur article another time, tx anyway

After 1...Ne2+ 2.Kb1 Qxc3? 3.Rg8+ mates :P

Anyway, this is going to take some thought. I'll post some diagrams for reference:

Master_Kaina

Kd2? i posted that variation also ...

Spochman

That is correct Tykartaltepe! I've been waiting for this a lot of time already guys. well done Laughing

black has a big advantage in the Kb1 variation after Qc4, both material and positional, while having a safe position.

however after Kd2 instead of Kb1, Qc4 is the only move that gives black an equality.

can you see the equalizing line for black, after white followes with Re1 (best move for white)?

gimmewuchagot

..Nxd4 is more than equalizing I believe.

Master_Kaina

i agree!

gimmewuchagot

Qc4 is a cool move; it simply defends White's threats and keeps Black's own.
