Can you defend two royal sergeants at the same time when capturing is compulsory? --- Elimination Chess + Double royals gimmick. There are 4 main ways the game ends: - A player hangs a sergeant, sadly very common - Your opponent is forced into a capture a chain of undefended pieces, so you attack a sergeant then capture it the next move - You "checkmate" a sergeant, by ensuring it gets captured no matter where it moves - You fork your opponent's sergeants, often with a promoted pawn. The game has plenty tactical possibilities, and losing a sergeant doesnt end the game immediately, you can only place a king down once you can no longer capture everything. This leads to a lot of very close games, such as #86347667 and #86461967 . --- Thanks to CzarnyResorak567 for playing many testing games and giving me the current name of this variant --- Testing games: Outdated version with forced openings: #86333448* Without bpr (bugged): #86346595 Final version: #86346910 #86347667* #86349719 #86350035* #86460380 #86460903 #86461239 #86461551 #86461719 #86461967 #86463378 * Contains rematches Most recent game: July 30, 2025
