Good luck!
/VU/ WoF Colorbound Complexity
Btw is is a slightly diff version of the VW post (No sideways here). Should i say it's VU rather than Pre-VU?
You can remove the need for green existing by making Berolinas or Pawns block the KotH squares instead of Knights. (Would also have to swap the General for a Bob if you do this.)
no way there is actually a vu colorbound complexity revision
vw colorbound complexity used to exist lol

All games are under "Alt Version" in the VW post. Description is from the VW post. https://variants.world/posts/2067

Description (sorry for formatting)
THE GAME:
Here, you can't place everything except the stone general. If you've captured it, place it on the square directly next to the blue knight on your opponents side of the board and capture it, "unlocking" the KOTH square for your sergant to promote to an alfil and KOTH. You could also checkmate your opponent's sergant.
BUGS:
Only 1 bug, stalemate = game doesn't end, stalemated side has to resign. No impact on the gameplay.
SETUPS:
Original: The 3 central sergants form a triangle, the side sergants move 1 square up (optional), move the stone general and royal sergant to your color complex.
Ben setup: First used by @BenK21, the emphasis is on side sergants and rapid developement. Move the side sergants foward, and possibly start sacrificng your alibaba and camel for sergants as your opponent is low on time.
Provocation (never used): cheapo against pepole who premove original setup. Attack the undefended side sergant with your camel.
TACTICS:
Bishop Check: If your opponent left the diagonal with the royal sergant open, check them with the bishop.
Bishop For Knight: The bishop is a very redundant piece in this game. try to sneack in a trade for the knight. Very useful in mutual time trouble.
X-Horse Promo: Promote your sergants to X-Horses and attack!
Sergant Sidestteping: In the endgame, move your royal along your color complex.
TRADES:
Bishop-Knight: Good for Bishop.
Bishop-King&1 check: Mostly equal, better for King.
Bishop-Camel/Alibaba: Good for Camel/Alibaba.
Knight-King/Camel/Alibaba: Good for King/Camel/Alibaba.
King-Camel: Better for Camel.
King-Alibaba: Good for Alibaba.
Alibaba-Camel: Better for Alibaba.
STONE GENERAL TRADES:
Stone General-Bishop: Good for Stone General.
Stone General-Knight: Good for Stone General.
Stone General-King: Better for King.
Stone General-Camel/Alibaba: Good for Camel/Alibaba.
Status: Declined
Nice variant! However, there're two major problems we have met in testing process:
Firstly, the mechanic of the variant will not be working when camel access it; red can open with camel development+bishop sacrifice to get camel into the mechainc, and capturing the general.
Secondly, due to the serious colorblindness of pieces, simultaneously the nature of sergeants, shuffling is unfortunately a viable strategy.
