Proposing Random Events For City Revolution

I have a few ideas too!

  1. Boosting @lukegk's idea: The AI Invasion: at some borders of the map random AI' spawn and want to take the closest square. The club on that square has to play that engine in a vote chess game. This can be done for example if someone creates a club where is only one member (he/she the owner), and that people uses the selected engine ONLY in that vote chess games. For example if chess.com's 2000 rated engine spawns alongst a square it attacks that one. And the player who agrees to play with the engines, when it's the engine's turn it gives the engine the position to play against and the first move the engine plays it would be played in the game. If the engine loses it will disappear from the map. If the club loses, they will lose that square and the engine gets that one. If it's a draw the engine won't disappear, but it won't take the square. It will go to another square on the border. Note: The engine's rating cannot be higher then 2500/2200, because else the engines would take over the world. This is just a suggestion.
  2. The Broken Friendship: All unions and allies have disappeared, everyone fights for itself. No O attacks are possible. The borders of the map are closed, no one can rejoin the map if they disappear. The last club standing wins the league. This could be the end of City Revolution and then we can start Space Wars. Note: this is only possible if we want to end CR. If not sorry for wasting your time with this.
  3. Explosion: a bomb explodes on a 3x3 region. The explosion hurts some players from the clubs who are in that region and those players cannot play in the next game, it doesn't matter if it's daily, live or vote chess. For example the 1800+ rated players were hurt and they cannot play in the next game. If it is a daily game, and your opponent wasn't on that region where the bomb exploded, you don't have to put a maximum rating. If you will have a few people who were hurt in the team lineup those games will be lost for you. Is it understoodable? I don't know if I explained well.

I might have other ideas soon, but these three came to my mind now.

I dislike number 3.

Yeah, I know that was the worst one and it is a bit unfair. I just had no idea what to suggest and I wanted to give 3 suggestions. Sorry for this. happy

Enemy invasion: Randomly selected clubs have to play against a 2000 rated engine (votechess).

Seems interesting (but maybe lower the rating). But what would happen if they lost?

They lose their square, it becomes empty. Change the rating to 1800?

Have you read my suggestions to your idea?

Squall Line:

A Squall Line comes across the city. The weather is so extreme that it deals severe damage to the terrain, forcing clubs to change their tactics.

For 2 weeks, until the repair crews finish their jobs, Districts A and C become Daily Match districts, and Districts B and D become Votechess districts.

Good idea. I was thinking about something like this but I haven't figured out how should it happen.

PERSIAN INVASION

some massive powerful club (or just some insally powerful player or bot) Invades the CR board. all clubs must unite to repel the enemy. Matches are temporairily halted and everyone can attack the club/bot/player. Any squares the club/bot/player takes becomes empty. club/bot/player must be defeated twice to be repeled

Waterstone33

Exile:

Club does not have control of what matches go on on that square.

Possibly another club does.

Choclatelordofsquirells

thats kinda jut earthquake.

Intercepted Communications:

Clubs start intercepting and manipulating the communications of other clubs.

There are 3 pairs of 2 clubs. Each club in the pair will swap CAs for 2 weeks. Promotion not required.

BIG BATTLE

Multi club arena happens for all clubs (on the map). The best preforming clubs take 1 square from the least preforming clubs

Waterstone33

Earthquake (accidentally copied Choclatelord's idea.)

The map splits in pieces (usually two). No one can attack across the chasim unless a bridge (a square given to CW, but owned by the alliance/club for the time of the earthquake) is built. After the event, all bridges will be deconstructed (and the squares where they were will be empty) and the map will return to normal.

Waterstone33

Tsumami

Clubs closer to one side (or corner) of the map will lose their squares. The closer you are to the centre, the less likely your square will be destroyed (and taken from you).

Waterstone33

I give variables to fit the needs of CR (and the event).

Should we really be just deleting poepels squares tho? maybe they cant use it temporarly?

Building on: Broken friendship by @DavidGaming08

Calamity (or Apocalypse)

Alliances are gone.

O attacks are no longer availible.

If you defeat a club's square, it becomes empty.

You can attack across empty squares, just like they are in your alliance, but so can others.

Every square you defeat in this phase = 1MP (or whatever its called)

Top 3 survivers earn lots of MP (Again, whatever its called)

It would change the dynamic of CR. And also engorages people to head into District E.

Forcefield

If this occurs, a minimum of a 2x2 and a maximum of a 10x10 forcefield occurs. Matches can be made with people inside the forcefield as long as you are also within it too. If a forcefield borders the edge of the map, that section cannot be O attacked. It is called a city wall when the forcefield is at the maximum size of 10x10. No square can be claimed within a forcefield/city wall. If an alliance tries to attack and their attack would result by going through the forcefield, then they cannot do that attack.

Waterstone33

We should review each idea (and its take by others).

Waterstone33

Lancing forward

All attacks are no longer made adjacent to you, but instead like a knight (in chess). You can move through alliances the same, but the end result has to be in an L. O attacks are now in L's as well.

Waterstone33

That's kind of like forcefield.
