Puzzle rating bug?

I just noticed my puzzle rating dropped almost 1000 points for apparently no reason. On October 7th I was rated 2649, and the next day my rating fell to 1679. Is this a new rating adjustment on chess.com, or is it a bug? And is there any way to get my lost points back?

It's the new update. I can't really explain it well. But just take a look at A_German_Chess_Player post in this forum.

Dude same here Mine dropped from 2100 to 1600. I think everyone's puzzle rating has been reset to 1600

No. The site ran the puzzle history through the new rating algorithm with the updated puzzle ratings, so the amount of change depends on the performance against the puzzle completed.

Mine went from 2700 to 2000

What was weird about the new system 
is that I found myself lower than people who I had more rating and more puzzles than them 
And that doesn't make any sense to me 
if there is a new calculation system 
what's logical is that all people drop right ?
but some ended up having more rating than others who did ton of puzzles right
So weird ..

This happed to me. I was 4000 now im 1900

The site recalculated ratings based on puzzle history, using the new algorithm, and the updated puzzle ratings. So two players with similar old ratings could end up at a different new rating based on the puzzles they had previously completed.
