I think they may be trying to get people to wait until they see the solution in their mind before actually making the move. Sort of like in the movie Searching for Bobby Fischer.

yes, it is really hard to get back ur puzzle rating
it is i was 2700 something one time but i stopped doing puzzles regularaly for about 2 months and then when i tried i got demolished and now i am 1900 something

Clients cache some puzzles, so give it 10+ puzzles and there should be a better mix.
