Rating daily chess

What's going on with daily chess rating? If it is an increment as happened with the bullet I believe it is an error. It just trivializes and inflates unnecessarily with a daily chess rating ... Another fact to be discussed is: As the ratings are not being updated at the same time, some players may be able to take advantage that their raitng are not yet updated to give up without practically losing their rating harming those who already have the current rating.

I am wondering the same, I got +100 out of nowhere but my opponents in a tournament don't seem to have had their ratings increase

Chess.com recently adjusted Daily and 960 ratings: https://www.chess.com/news/view/daily-chess-ratings-adjusted

Thanks for the link I've just confirmed that.

I support the idea. The current ratings are to low so strong OTB players (e.g. titled) will risk loosing a lot of their rating if they played Daily with their OTB rating. Now this will not be the case.

Is it true that chess.com changed its mind about the rating increase? I hope so and do it fast, some astute with unadjusted ratings are taking advantage of this mess to give up lost matches, but who otherwise would not give up now, so as not to lower their rating with the readjusted players.

I didn't see my rating change. Why have they now changed their mind? I quite liked the idea of my rating going up! happy.png

Yes, it seems they did because I've seen a lot of ratings going down including mine.
