wait im pretty sure that we agreed July 1st after some of us have finished our exams :P. i agree with the recruitment drive though
Recruitment Drive
The matches will start on July 1st, but this Saturday and following weekends are a chance for recruiting more members for the eventual matches in July
i have come up with a post that Bill can post as news in Team Englands forums ... wot do ya think?!
RECRUITMENT DRIVE
The county championships will be starting on 1st July 09 and we have many teams which are registered to play in it. We have been trying for a while now to get members to come and join us, and while we have been busy inviting lots of you to our teams, there are still lots of players who don’t have the place where they live in the UK listed on their profiles.
SO, what to do? Well it was decided that we should maybe have a recruitment drive where every weekend (or another day during the week if you would prefer) us team super admin’s promote our teams in order to get more players to join.
We will list all the different teams complete with links so that all you have to do is click on them and go to the teams’ home page to request membership. OR alternatively you could just post in the thread that you are interested and let the super admin for the team send you an invite.
Now this is going to be a really good and well thought out championship as it has been months in preparation working towards 1st July and we want as many people as possible to get involved with it.
I like the idea, one stumbling block:
I've noticed that there are some counties that are yet to be made. Some people are put off by not being able to join a county, enquiring where it is etc. Therefore, should we create official counties for those (with no one in them) until we have a volunteer to remove them from our hands (and hence enter the Championship)? A bit like a franchise system, but then we can invite players to become captains of the remaining counties. I think we should do that (perhaps) before we go recruiting for our own counties.

i can help with that just wil u do me a favour and list the counties yet to be created and we can do them between us?!
Erm... I can do the complete opposite of what you said. List the counties we've got, and the counties there are in total, and we should get the same information.
You can see the counties elsewhere in this forum, and these are the 39 in total: http://www.abcounties.co.uk/counties/list.htm
Ignore Scottish and Welsh counties.
I dont mind being temporary super admin of some of them until someone takes the reins, obviously I will only play for Yorkshire if nobody comes in by July 1st
Yeah, okay. The list of 12 that haven't yet been done is below. If blackfirestorm and timmygadget both want to do 6 each. Once you do, you then need to find a willing person to take over from you. I advise working on Middlesex/Surrey first - they should be easiest. But state which one you do before you do it, so we don't get duplicates.

Well done everyone! Now, if you go through the list of towns in each county (also available on the abcounties.co.uk site, you ought to be able to find someone who can be a Super Admin. Make sure they visit every day and join other groups etc. so we know they're committed. Also, it would be an added plus if they're from Team England. Get together a list of two or three from each county who could be good. Then we can decide who appears to be the most "qualified".
Ok people its been suggested that we have a recruitment drive in team england so that we can get more members into our teams. Its also been suggested that we go for it this Saturday. So id like peoples opinions on this and suggestions as to wot time
