I just found Trevor Leggett's book Japanese Chess, The Game of Shogi in a local bookstore (Borders). This is a reprint of his 1966 book entitled Shogi, Japan's Game of Strategy. (The first paperback edition appeared in 1993.)
Except for the title change, a new cover, a new forward, and some changes in pagination, this book appears to be exactly the same as the 1993 edition. It even includes the same cardboard shogi set. If you own the original book, there is no need to buy this new one.
If not, you might check this out. I'm just very happy when any book on shogi makes it into English.
